I have a question. This fellow co-worker and I have been hanging out at work a lot. We email each other all through out the day. Funny emails, just to make each other laugh. I am really attracted to her but I don't know if she is with me. Everytime I go into the break room she follows me. We start talking and joking around. A couple of times we've hung out after work, going shopping. i've noticed a couple times she's called me babe. I've never had someone call me that before. To be honest I like it. Yesterday we were at the store looking at pop trying to decide what to get when she walked up to me and put her elbow on my shoulder and said what she wanted and then called me babe again. She has said she had an ex-boyfriend and as we were walking by this one guy she said he had a nice smile. but when she was told he thought she was cute she said she was totally not interested. She doesn't want to date.

sorry, i didn't have enough room. Anyway, today she gave me her lotion that I love. which I wouldn't think much except that awhile back she told me that she shows that she cares about people by giving them things and doing things for them. I would think she's just a normal friend except that when we talk, our eyes seem to linger longer than I would usually like. But she seems a lot like me, where I would see how far I could go and then back off and seem disinterested. So I know the game. But from what I've described, what do ou think? Just friendly banter or flirting? I'm not in a position to let her know that I like her or that I'm into girls at all.

Sounds like a tough one dude... nothing anyone writes here is going to tell you what to do about it though since the heart makes up its mind before questions are even asked usually. I wish you luck and offer the following advice.
All I can do is tell you what I would do... have fun and keep some emotional distance. She sounds like the type that wants to have "some fun" and nothing more... although she is exhibiting signs of genuine interest as well. Gotta love mixed signals!
Put it this way... if she's just up for some fun and you want something more serious, this can be headed for disaster especially since you're working together. If she does like you in a serious sense and wants to date... go for it.
Either way I recommend the mystical art of communication. Talk to her, try to gauge how she responds, ask her to something thats a little more suggestive of a date (like romantic dinner for 2) rather than stuff that could be considered friends activities (like shopping). See how she reacts to those settings - but be cautious since this only tells you if she's interested in you (versus being interested in you AND a relationship with you).
All the while, please keep in mind that she might not even know what she wants... and forcing her could push it either way. If you take anything away from this advice - take this: Keep it light, keep it fun, and if falling in love is what's in store - make it a slow fall at a mutually comfortable rate instead of an all out race. Keep hanging out, keep talking, and don't over-analyze... life is meant to be lived (heartache and all), not solved.

well just get to know her better. maybe after a while she will open up more. Are you a girl? because if you are, then maybe your getting the wrong signals here. I call my bestfriend that but Im totally straight. we hangout, we joke, we even shower together...just get to know her better and see what happens next. good luck
