It's common in hospitals and care units. It is ok for short term, but if you are healthy and a shower is easy for you, real, lathering shampoo is a much better choice.
Your hair will not rot will dry shampoo, but it won't look it's best.

Ah, I don't really like it. Using wash out shampoos is much better and your hair looks much healthier and cleaner.

My mom had surgery and couldn't shower, so I had to 'wash' her hair with that stuff. It worked good for two days, then her hair started getting sort of greasy looking. I dont mind it for camping or trips. But, for daily use... no.
