Please, do not tell me this is unhealthy. kk, thanks.

I've only been eating dinner for one week, I've lost weight, but I was wondering, If I do this of eating only dinner plus water a day, plus excercise, how much will I lose? Doing this from today to Decemeber 25?

by the way, I am 5'7.5'' and a size 6 ( american/canadian)

This is a bad idea and will most likely hurt you in the long run. You may lose some weight in the first few weeks, but it will come back to bite you.

Eating only one per day will lower your metabolism over time, as will a severely restricted calorie diet.

What you really want to do is spread your meals out throughout the day, stick to a caloric intake that will allow you to lose weight, eat healthy foods, and begin an exercise program.

If you do all of the above then you can probably safely lose 1-2lbs per week all the way up to 12/25.

BTW - at a size 6 you don't really need to lose anything.

Maybe, maybe, maybe 8 to 9 lbs, which is mostly water weight.
you will throw your body into a "starvation" mode by only feeding it solid foods once daily. YES, this is very unhealthy, take it from a LIFETIME Dieter.....try the 3 hour diet..it is the only diet that has worked for me. I'm49, 5'4 and weigh 132 lbs and been able to maintain this weight since I begin to eat "small somethings" every 3-4 hours....it works!!! I eat breakfast lunch and dinner and find drinking 8-10 glasses of water will help you/maintain your desired weight! 8-9 lbs in 3 weeks may seem like alot, but I promise when you return to 2-3 meals a day, you will gain it all back within a matter of days! And last but not least...you might lose weight, but you'll probably lose your mind and be in such a bad mood that come Dec 25th, no one will want to be around you because of your mental attitude (very fatigued & easily irritated) to even notice you lost ANY weight!!!! Good Luck and Remember Dieting and Maintaining your weight is a "daily" conscious effort...Happy Holidays!!!

As someone says, it's variable depending on your level of exercise, exactly what you eat etc. HOWEVER you will lose more if you take the amount you eat in that one meal and divide it into 5-6 small portions to eat throughout the day. Why? When you go for long periods without food, your metabolism slows down to preserve energy. Slow metabolism = no weight loss. Keep stoking the engine with tiny portions, stay active, and expect to lose 2 pounds/week. That would be a healthy and realistic target. Good luck and stay focused!

A safe healthy sustainable weight loss rate should not be faster than 2 pounds a week. With your current plan, I guess you should be able to lose at least 2 pounds a week?

At this rate, you should target to lose about 8 pounds by Dec 25.

The rate a person loses weight varies, it depends how many calories you eat how many you burn and how fat your metabolism is.
