If you say that things like acne and cancer are a result of sinning, I would totally disagree with you. That's rediculous. My mother was a good woman, yet she still fell to lung cancer (and she didn't smoke AND she was religious)

My mother as well died of cancer. Yet, while cancer is horrible in this present age, it may find a redeeming value in the future once we discover a way to control it. Many diseases may be cured through the technology and treatments of cancer. It is terrible now and many many have lost loved ones, but I firmly believe everything in its season will produce the good that God designs for it.

We live in the shadow of ignorance which is the cause of the pain and destruction in which we live. Jesus life death and resurrection proves that our current trials are not permanent.

Acne and flatulence are the same way. There may be a positive reason for their existence. Seriously!
God is in control and turns lemons into lemonade each and every moment. Ask for the Grace to see.

God created Adam and Eve as perfect beings, the whole problem with inbreeding never came up, but over a few generations of cousin lovin, chromosomal abnormalities developed resulting in our present day imperfections
flatulence is important for two reasons:
1) if we didn't fart, we'd explode
2) try not to laugh when somebody rips a loud one

my condolences on your mother's death

Compared with the infinite purity of God, we are terribly impure.

Goodness, according to God's standards, cannot be measured with our empirical understanding (very approximately it can, perhaps).

There is a vast subconscious psychology of sin as it pertains to the soul.

There are vast unknown layers beneath our consciousness.

This becomes evident to someone who starts to walk the path towards perfection that God has layed out.

God then starts to enlighten the intellect in a progression of steps.

What you didn't think was sinful before, or what you didn't notice before is then seen as sinful.

With a clarification of the consciousness, more subtle aspects of reality come into view.

So we are all sinners, and that sinfulness cannot be estimated by the yardstick of "decent" society.

Between each sacramental confession that I make, I discover more about myself that needs to be put right.

Sin separates us from God. When Adam and Eve sinned, it created a wall between us and God, and so things began deteriorating. Death came in, first spiritual death, then physical. Disease and other problems would arise as well, all bc sin separates us from God and corrupts our bodies. It's a very devastating thing. If your mother sinned once, good as she may have been to you and others, she still sinned, and so suffered under the Curse on creation, which resulted after Adam and Eve's sin. We're connected to Adam and Eve in a deep way, and so we fell with them, for we were in their loins when they sinned.

I am sorry about your mother

but the truth is these thing came into the world because of sin

the rain fall on the just and the unjust

it is not a good this to see the ones we love hurting and die, I know this for myself I have had more than one loved on die, and yes they where good people too. we all will die but we must turn to the Comforter, that is Jesus for our strength and hope.

People who believe that Gawd created EVERYTHING pretty much have to accept that EVERYTHING includes acne, farting, cancer, epilepsy, the bubonic plague, influenza, chicken pox, back pain, halitosis, scurvy, measles, rubella, cold sores, and gum disease...plus any other disease that I didn't mention. Naturally, there are those who will say that Satan causes all these things, but who created Satan? The all-seeing, all-knowing God who supposedly knows the future, must have known what misery Satan would cause and he shouldn't have created him in the first place.

According to Scripture, all of us have been subjected to the decay of our bodies. John the Apostle, perhaps the one human who knew Jesus better than any other alive, died. His body got sick and died. It is not rediculous to suggest sickness is a result of sin. Why would it be? It doesn tmatter if you are the most godly person on earth, you to will die.

God created the world. we brought curse upon ourselves which created all those horrible things. Think, in what history book that tells about the time of Jesus were there and spoken diseases other than leprosy, blindness crippledness and deafness which arent even sicknesses, they are conditions. During Ceasar's time you never heard of it. but now, with all this sin going around the world no wonder everyone is dying of unmentionable things
