Basically, from what I have been told, a serial killer/child rapist/etc. that accepts Jesus Christ as his savior would sooner recieve a spot in heaven than myself, an atheist? I have hardly done anything wrong in my life. I don't get into trouble for anything, I babysit children, I've never done drugs, I get good grades, I plan on sex after marraige, I love my family and friends and wouldn't trade any of them for the world, and I'm probably one of the nicest people you'd ever know. So why is it that I'm considered bad enough to be placed in agonizing torture for all eternity, assuming I'm wrong about there being no God? Why is it worse to not have faith in something that there is no proof for, than to kill someone?

"Would you allow someone who didn't love you to stay in your house, for all eternity? Someone who didn't know you, or even attempt to know you?"
Yes, if it would protect that person from a place like hell. I don't think anyone deserves a fate like that.

"You have never done something you regret (not any of the above necessarily) and wish you had not of done it? Maybe even carried that guilt around for a while?"
The only things I've done that I regret are minor; tripping in class, saying something stupid, etc. I felt guilty for scaring the examiner during my road test, I suppose...Honestly, I'm probably the most boring person alive.

"You have called yourself an atheist, but I wish to challenge that assertion. Are you omniscient? Can you tell me everything there is to know about everything? -Inside and outside our universe. No? Then neither can you claim there is no God with absoluteness, can you?"
Oh, please. I am as certain in my beliefs as you are in yours. Are you omniscient? Can you tell me everything there is to know about everything--inside and outside our universe. No? Then neither can you claim there IS a God with absoluteness, can you?

Eefen, the same flaw is in your theory. Also God takes faith, not proof. I do not follow blind faith, and therefore, I do not believe. God cannot be proved nor disproved. It is impossible to even try. And honestly? My life was worse while I believed in God a few years ago. And now it is several times better after I stopped believing. Explain that one.

This is all nonsense that religion tells about God. None of it is true. The real God is unconditionally loving. It even tells us this in the bible.

All have sinned, and all sin is equal in the eyes of God. I don't know how God will judge you (providing I'm right, of course, and that there is a God), but here is what I do know:
If you truly seek God, if you ask Him to reveal Himself, either through His Word, or through a sign, or through revelations, or HOWEVER, He'll hear you. And He just might say yes.
Seek and you will find. But don't stop seeking. That's where many atheists make mistakes. They become (and no offense intended) so POSITIVE of their beliefs (or lack thereof, whichever way you want to see it), that they won't open their mind to any other possibilities. Some of them (at least from my experience) SAY that they are open, but they're really not. They won't read the books that I (and/or other Christians) suggest to read, they won't do the research that's recommended...
Now, I AM positive in my beliefs. However, I haven't always been a Christian. I HAVE done research (and plenty of it). So I hope I'm not being too horribly hypocritical here.
You do sound like a good person. I don't doubt that you are. And as I said, I have no idea how God would judge you.

You missed the point. A child molester, a rapist or a murderer can receive forgiveness - NOT because if what they done.., but a reprieve from all the sin. However, if that man (or woman) is using words only and not sincere, his repentance is not real but an attempt at conning God. We just can not fool God.
You have never done something you regret (not any of the above necessarily) and wish you had not of done it? Maybe even carried that guilt around for a while? Do you suppose even a murderer or child molester somewhere, someplace can have that kind of regret and wish he or she never did the deed? Wants a fresh start?
Its not that difficult a concept. You certainly understand the concept of amnesty under certain circumstances with provisions. God's forgiveness of sins operates on that same principle.., you have to follow the rules..., and stop sinning.
Break the rules of man's legal probation and you end up in jail. Break the rules of forgiveness.., you better pack some pretty hefty sunblock.

Your question is correct.
Different sects have different views.
If GOD directs a person to be a serial killer (what is called PREDESTINATION) then that person would have a spot in heaven because they had no say, no free will.
When somone chooses to live a life of crime and then repents and does good and lives a better life and helps others they might be granted a spot.
It's up to God.
Same with Atheists.
No one knows for sure who goes and who stays.

That's all good and fine, but one's own good works won't get them a place in Heaven. It is only by Jesus Christ that we can get there, not by what WE do!
Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast.
That answers, I hope, that part of the question. But there is, in my mind, at least one thing to be mentioned still. You said you are an atheist. Really? Before you read the rest of this, ask yourself if you are REALLY an atheist, one who denies the existance of God.
Done? Ok, then continue.
Let me say this: I don't think that there is such a thing as an atheist. To put it this way: if I were to ask you about the existance of God, what response might I expect? Something like, "There is no God", right? Well, in order to say that and be 100% confident about it, then you would have to know everything about everything about the subject matter. To illustrate: if one were to say, "There is no gold in Russia", then that one would have to look under every rock in Russia, know what was inside every clump of dirt, know that no one had any gold teeth or fillings, ect., that no one had any gold jewelry, know that no one had any gold piercings, know that no one had any gold anything in the whole of Russia, ect. A formidable task? Yes! To say that, one would have to basically be everywhere at one time, and know everything that had to do with gold in Russia! Now, to say that "There is no God", you would have to look everywhere on earth, travel the entirety of the universe (which is impossible for a human being), and be omniscient; know everything about everything about everything in order to say, with 100% confidence, "There is no God". Now, can YOU say that? However, to say that, going back to the example, "There is gold in Russia", then all one would have to do is know that, somewhere in Russia, there was gold. It doesn't matter the size or quantity of it; it is gold! One would only have to have a little piece of proof to show that the one who said there is no gold in Russia is wrong! In the same way, I only have to have a little piece of proof in order to say, "There IS a God"! That little piece of proof, as I can say alongside so many other Christians, is my life! Not what I've done, but the things that only God could have ever introduced, changed, or taken away! THAT is my little piece of proof, along with creation and many other things! So, if you cannot say, "There is no God", then are you now unsure of whether or not there is a God? Because, if you say, "I don't THINK there is a God", or "I don't know if there is a God", then you are an agnostic, and why would you want to gamble with your soul? Even if there was no God, am I not a better person for following the Christian lifestyle and going through life believing in something! But there IS a God, so not only have I been made into a better person, but I will go to heaven after I die! If you say, "I don't believe in God", then I say this to you: what you believe doesn't matter unless you believe in the truth! It doesn't matter if I believe I can fly unassisted, what happens when I jump off a 10-story building? And what is the truth?
John 14:6 NIV
Jesus answered, "I am...the truth..."
Hope this helps, God bless!

First of all there is plenty of evidence for any intelligent human being to study. The problem is that most have ears but do not hear; they have eyes but do not see; they have minds but they do not understand.
Second of all, nothing that any human being can do can possibly earn a place in heaven. You have called yourself an atheist, but I wish to challenge that assertion. Are you omniscient? Can you tell me everything there is to know about everything? -Inside and outside our universe. No? Then neither can you claim there is no God with absoluteness, can you? Do you not agree that it is possible for God to exist outside of your limited realm of knowledge? If so then you're not an atheist, you're an agnostic. Would you even look at and read evidence that favours creation over evolution and that verifies the accuracy and authenticity of the Bible? If not, then don't you think this is tantamount to wilfull ignorance and that you've made a conscious choice not to believe in God, in spite of available evidence?
Thirdly; It should be obvious to anyone that serial killers and child molesters are unrepentant and have never been repentant, nor is it plausible that they ever will be repentant. It's a well known fact that these types of people defy all treatment and rehabilitation, nor do they display any guilt or signs of a conscience. I believe it's entirely possible that they are demonically possessed.I know of no verifiable cases of these types of people truly repenting of their sin while simultaneously accepting the consequences of their actions and confessing to their crimes, do you?
PS: People go to hell because they choose to do so by rejecting God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Even though there is plenty of evidence to support the Bible and Special Creation they have rejected it; some reject it out of hand without even looking at the evidence. Those who wind up in hell would be far happier there than in Heaven because there is no way they'd want to spend an eternity with the One whom they rejected and His followers, there'd be nothing in common. In hell these people would be with all of the others who've rejected God and His Son, Jesus Christ, and thus be happier. Because we have free will to choose whom we will serve, and because God loves us enough to allow us to exercise that free will, those who wish for hell through their choice get their wish -an eternity without God. I've studied and weighed the evidence on both sides of this issue, have you? This is why I can adamantly and with confidence state with absolute certainty that there is indeed a God. Until one studies and weighs the evidence on both sides of this issue, one can not make an absolute statement either way

alright here is the thing...good deeds do not get you into heaven, the bible is clear on this...And it is also very clear to teach us that all of us child molestors, priests, good people like you and murderers all for short in God's eyes. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved and made right with God. If we could get into heaven based on good deeds alone then everyone could get in. we cannot judge others for anything because there is only one judge and he knows the hearts of all of us. Jesus Christ gives us clear guidelines to follow for salvation..pick up a Bible and read if you wish to understand more.

You are mistaken. Anyone who told you that you will burn in hell needs to be reminded of who is in charge. It is up to God and the individual in question as to who will be in Heaven or Hell. And since most criminals are that way because they have talked themselves into thinking they are doing nothing wrong, i would imagine any of them making an 11th hour confession are probably paying lipservice....God will know. It is not for us to concern ourselves with. As the bible says, you need to remove the beam from your own eye before you try to remove the mote from someone else's.

In the first place, grace has to be given the rapist, childkiller or whoever, to accept the fact that they must repent. If that grace is not given they do not repent and many have gone to their maker unforgiven. All people are given the opportunity to receive Jesus and quit sinning so anybody who is an avid believer needs to remember we were all given this grace. It is nothing any of us earned so if he wants to be generous that is up to him. We are in sales, he is in management.

So Jesus Christ died only for those who did only small sins?
Isiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Whoever becomes born again will be in Heaven. God is not going to remember their sins, and neither will they.

ALL who come to God in The Way He proscribes will receive His free gift of Salvation and their place in Heaven will be assured.... it is extreamly hard for some to find their way to God as He proscribes... But when one dose find The Way and God dose accept them... they are new creatures in God's eyes... and will receive an incoruptble body when they enter Heaven... The serial killer will then no longer be... But... those who continue to reject God to the last concious mortal breath will be rejected by God and will suffer the fate of all who reject God... which is eternal seperation from God and loss of the incoruptable body... so these will face eternity with no shield from the suffering of eternity without God.... there is a mis conception among most who reject God that it is sin that keeps one out of Heaven and that good work will count for points to get in... this is not the case...just as it is not sin that damns anyone to eternal seperation from God(hell)... accepting God by comeing to Him as he proscribes is all it takes to get into Heaven and ....rejecting God is all that condems one to hell..... if you reject God , God will ultimatly reject you.... just that simple.
No one can "prove" God to you... that is between God and you... but if you have a question concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith you may email me... an honest question receives an honest reply to the best of my ability.
