Add "True" to the first part...making it read "True friendship..." and I agree...
But that kind of true friendship is rare....

Not Aristotle. The closest Aristotle comes is in Nichomachean Ethics with this line;
A friend is a second self.
Author: Aristotle
Source: Nicomachean Ethics.
But your line does sound good and If old Aristotle was to hear it he would likely steal it and write it into a book!

I think it's a lovely way to look at friendship.
Something similar I've heard is that a friend is one who, when you forget the song of your heart, can sing it back to you.
