I always use Advantage. It works wonders. After about 5 minutes there are no fleas left. After you use this, make sure to vacuum your carpet and spray flea killer around your home to get rid of the ones in the carpet!

When you bomb the house you kill the fleas. You do not kill the eggs. They will hatch and if you do not bomb again before they lay eggs the cycle will not end and you will be stuck with fleas. I would have the dog clipped, short hair, and dipped in a flea dip at a groomer or vet. Apply the frontline or advantage and bomb the house. Find out from the vet how long it takes the eggs to hatch and when to bomb again and do it. This should end the cycle. It will also help to spray the yard for fleas. The natural remedies are more of a mild manifestation control thing and rarely work for average to severe infestations.

Frontline is great but you have a to get the infestation out of your house because the fleas are going to jump right back on your pet.Plus it has been a very bad flea season. I would switch the the frontline spray bottle instead of the month dosages, it works better. But you need to call the Pest Control Guys first and then use the FRONTLINE SPRAY not the monthly dosages. There is also a Capstar Shot that works within 4 hours that kills ticks and fleas, ask you vet or www.mainstreetvets.com -go to the vetstore

Take them to the groomers twice a month for 4 months straight (it is expensive, but hear me out). If your dogs are in the house, put the dogs in a kennel immediately after one of their groomings and have the house exterminated professionally. If you keep your dogs outside, have a company like Orkin inspect the outside of your house to determine where the fleas are breeding and have them exterminate them. The dogs should not return to the house until you have determined where the fleas are coming from. Frontline should work otherwise. Maybe they don't have fleas...it is possible that they just have sensitive skin (use an oatmeal bath for that).

If the dogs are inside dogs...... the only reason the frontline isn't working is because the house is too infested with fleas. You need to try and get rid of the fleas in the house then retry the frontline. Try any flea bomb or call an expert that will really kill all of them.

You can buy stuff in the garden section of Home Depot that you put on your grass to kill fleas. Has to be dry when you do it and not about to rain soon. You need to clean up all dog feces in your yard and keep it clean. That is what keeps them there. They are attracted to anything with blood in it, even what remains in a dog's stool.
Frontline Plus has always worked for us. But Revolution is new and improved product and does more stuff for the dog. You really need to clean up the house good too. Vacuum really thoroughly and throw away the bag right away. Probably bomb the house and use one or two more bombs than the directions say.
Raid makes a new spray with a purple cap. It kills all stages of a flea life cycle and lasts for up to four months if you spray it right on your carpets and furniture...that means don't be stingy with it.
If that fails, you need an exterminator for your house and a vet or professional groomer for your dogs.

Revolution is the best. Call your vet and find out if they carry it. They should. If not find one that dose. You'll need to know the weight of your dog though becaust of the amount needed.

here's a link. Stuff to spray on them, stuff for them to eat, etc. I like to give my dogs garlic + yeast in their diets, it makes me feel bad to put all those chemicals on them.
