Cat years are like this: The first two years are super-fast, so that a two-year old cat is like a 20 year old human, but after that one year is like 4 cat years. Cats live an average of 12-14 years, although some have lived 20 years.

Dog years are not REALLY seven years. Like the cat, the aging process from baby to adult is rapid in the first two years, but once that time is up, they age slowly. The life expectancy of a dog varies by breed. For a large breed, like Mastiffs, the average life span is 10-12 years, with the dog beginning to show signs of age at 8 years. Miniature poodles live 12-15 years.

They say...1 dog year=7 human years while 1 cat year=4 human years. BUT...cats have 9 lives...dogs and humans only have one.

Actually, the cat/dog year(s) are more of a theory then a true fact.

Some believe that cats/dogs have a shorter time period in (Human Time) because they have their own time, some don't.

BUT- If it were true (In my beliefs, yours could be completly diffrent) I'd say yes.

Cats at 1 human year = 13 human years already. Thereafter each year= 2 years

Dogs at 1 human year = 7 human years, next 5 years = 5 years for each one, then 1 year thereafter

I believe that cats age 5 times faster than humans, and dogs age 7 times faster. At least, that was what i was taught in elementary school.
