sorry, no such thing. You're going to have to buy a wine made of different grapes if you want something with more sugar. Just go to your local wine store & tell them you want a sweeter red. If they're smart, they will ask you some questions to get an idea of how sweet you want. Be specific or you might end up with something too sweet , or too dry.

If you really want a sweet merlot, see if you can find some Canadian Merlot ice wine. This is a dessert wine made from Merlot grapes that have been left on the vines long enough to freeze and remain frozen throughout pressing. Usually the process uses white grape varietals like Vidal, Riesling, and Gewurtztraminer, but red grapes like Merlot and Cabernet Franc are also used.

A lot of merlots seem to be "sweeter" when they are not because Merlot tends to make softer wines than other red grapes.
Frankly, FOR THE MONEY (please note caveat), if you are in the USA and in a state that allows private brands and has licensed Trader Joe's stores you cannot do better than TJ's "3 buck Moe"
- the J.W. Morris label. I have places in both Boston and wine loving Montreal and several friends in the latter who constantly ask me to smuggle up (from TJ's in Mass) as many bottles as I can.

I really like Lambrusco or Cafe Zinfandel both fairly inexpensive and you can usually find both easily.
