...I never bothered much with desserts, candies etc. until recently.
I'm pining for candy half an hour after supper.

Well actually its' been proven that after eating certain types of food, your body will want something sweet to balance it off. But as with everything in life moderation is the key.

I would not get paranoid about it.
However, especially if you have had a change in weight or exercise lately, I would consider getting some blood work to verify your blood glucose levels are normal. It is not a lot of trouble to get this checked out.

Ur food habits change with age. Do not bother as long as ur blood sugar level is not beyond limits. In any case continue to eat sensibly as before. Please see that u do not suffer from hypoglycemia., a condition of low blood sugar.
