They both like eachother and want to see how things would go in a relationship, but the only thing is that the guy is so used to having freedom to go out when ever he pleases, but the girlfriend can't because her mother is up tight and doesn't trust her that well.

the mom is really controlling it's not that she thinks they're too old for eachother, because the mom likes him and thinks he's a mature well mannered young man, it's just that she is always nit-picking-her daughter at every little detail and it's not like the daughter's bad she does get bad grades but as a person she has a good head on her sholders.

the girl's mother is not uptight, the girl is only 16, so she doesnt have the same bedtime as a 20 yr old. i really don't think there is a reason for them to be dating.

Don't understand what a 20 yr old guy would see in a 16 yr old girl. How about someone closer in age, 18 or 19. And at 20 yrs old you're on the threshhold of "legal age" to do alot of things you couldn't do as a minor. At 16 you've got alot to do, too. Don't tie yourself down. Go out with lots of friends and have fun, adulthood and its responsibilities will be here before you know it!

I don't think its wise-and do not know in which state but need to check law before get into a physical relationship for in most states for a 20yr old to have relations with a 16yr old is considered statuary rape and he'll go to jail. a 20 yr old is also a bit too old and worldly for a 16yr old and although there are those that end up happy ever after most of them do not.

If the girl is not going to be able to do anything with the guy and he is use to freedom they may be in for heart break. She will go crazy with him going out all the time and they may start having trust issues and he might find another girl who is closer to his age that has freedom and can spend time with him. On the other hand if they really care for each other they may be able to make the relationship work

He should meet her mom and try win her trust...That's the way she will let her daughter go out...
If they like each other they must continue their relationship...
One of my ex was 7 years older than me but he firstly won my parents trust by looking like a very principle boy...after that it was easy-we were going out-staying late-but my parents were cool couse they knew that i was with him...Even he was staying home...And then I was only 15
Оh and btw we were 3 years together...

There is NO reason for them to be together...in fact, it could get him in serious legal trouble because she's a minor.

Best to wait until she's at least 18, and see if there are any sparks still there. There's just not going to be much in common between the 2.

i dont have any good reasons to them staying together. she is too young to even know what love is if she claims she loves him. i wouldnt even trust her if i was her father. id probably have her check in every few hours to see where she is if i knew she was with a 20 year old guy

There is no reason a 20 year old should be with a 16 year old. I would kick my daughters *** if she were with a 20 year old.

A 20 year old is going out with a 16 year old? I can understand juniors/seniors going out with 16 y/o's, but 20 year olds? This guy is creepy. Really, really creepy.
