It depends if you want pre-marriage classes. Some churches charge for the cleaning of the church after. I had my wedding last year and i paid $400.00. But that was just for the preacher and the cleaning of the church. Prices go up in everything.

Veritas 45 is crazy!
Clergy don't work for free. It's a job and it doesn't pay well to begin with. They should be compensated for their time.
Certainly, some churches still have clergy that practice vows of poverty. Most clergy are modest, but average payment for services usually ranges from $175.00 and up.
If you are concerned about the customary fee or 'gratuity' at the church, call the church secretary and ask.

it really is going to be the Brides or her relations if you're going with classic. The bride or her relations will pay for the marriage and the groom or his relations will pay for the reception. How a lot purely relies upon on what that preacher expenses. some have set expenses and different take donations. you may want to communicate that with fairly some any human beings in contact with that church to get a sturdy consumer-friendly.

A Real Preacher, on that Believe God and His Word, does not CHARGE, for the Marriage Ceremony!
Its not what you give him, its the Kind of Marriage, that you have that Glorifies GOD!
Keep your Wedding Vows, that is Payment Enough!

We paid $200- and we had 8 premarital counseling classes that lasted at least an hour and a half each. She then donated the money to charity!

Well, Iam sure it all depends on where you live, etc.
I would say that $250 is MORE than fair, as long as it is a moderate length wedding. Very short, maybe $100 and VERY long and involved $500.
Congratulations and best of luck!
