Men look at porn. Porn is half the reason the internet even exists for us. Don't tell on your dad. Just try your best to forget that it ever happened. When that doesn't work, start saving for therapy.

NO! This may be the first time you've discovered something embarassing about a family member but it won't be the last. It's just sex. Actually, it's just pictures of sex. (As long as it's nothing illegal.) And to be honest, some day your day will come. Give your dad a break and never mention it to any family member at all, including him. If you tell, it's a good bet your mom will freak and it will create a whole fire storm in your family. But what good will come of that? Your mom will be upset, your dad will be humiliated, and you will wish you'd just kept your mouth shut. If you caught him cheating that would be different, but this is just porn and whether anyone likes it or not most guys -- married or not -- check out porn. In the long run you will be glad you let it lie.

It may be hard to accept, but your dad is a man, with all that it entails. He is visually stimulated. I don't think this will be a total shock to your mother if they have a solid marriage. My husband looks at porn, and it doesn't threaten me.That is a fantasy, not a reality. I think it may be a lot more shocking to you than it will be to your mom. And if it is, do you want that on your shoulders? Is it your place to expose your dad? Your assuming your mom will have a problem, or would even want to know....sometimes in a marriage (as unromantic as it sounds) ignorance is bliss. She may already know. Just because they haven't talked to you about it doesn't mean she doesn't know. After all, if they love eachother, whats the harm of a little porn? Don't be naive about it, they are adults, and they may be more freaked to know that their child knows about the situation than they are about your dad looking at porn. Then they have to react to you knowing.... which is akward,to say the least. Don't stir the pot. If your dad has a serious internet porno problem, your mom will find out on her own, and react or ignore it as she sees fit. It's something that isn't your job to fix. Your the kid, they are the parents. A marriage is between two people, and as much as you think you know them, what happens between two married people is between only them, and you don't know all the ins and outs. They are the only people involved. Don't stick your nose in... you will live to regret it. As hard as it may be to keep it to yourself, it's not about making yourself feel better. The quality of your parents marriage is between them, even if it may disillusion you.

Just know that almost all men do this...and when your mom (I presume) finds out...she's going to be livid. I found out a b/f was looking at porn on my computer and I lost it! I learned from that blow up and when I found my husband had looked at porn while I was gone it wasn't so bad. I told him to warn me next time. I told him about the blow up with the ex boyfriend and that I don't like sh*t like that and to please let me know if I could potentially find something like that because it is painful to us as women trying to please a guy and feeling like we are failing. So, you have two ways to go here, minimum. Tell mom and she's absolutely pissed or tell dad and ask for a warning or that he not do it. What an uncomfortable situation for anyone to put anyone else in.
I hate porn.
(Yeah Yeah, give me a thumbs down b/c I hate porn. It's sick and obviously the person asking this question is offended as well.)

You may want to, in order to protect yourself. What if if comes back on you?
You may want to approach your Dad, if not then your mom. If you mom is ok with it, you may not have a problem, but if she does, it will be pretty tense around your house for a while.

Yes, you'll need to report this to your mom, or another adult that you trust.
If you are a minor, then what your dad is doing is illegal. If you're not a minor, then what he's doing is just plain rude and disrespectful.

Not really. If your dad's a porn star you don't want to ruin his career by telling everybody.
