I spent a few days looking at homes and really did not give him a clue as to what homes I liked the most or not, just kept a mental note and took pics when ever I could. I let his strong sells [this is a great house you should buy it now...] pitches roll off my back.

I decided to buy a home, great price, etc. but I changed my mind and went for a different house...then I put a deposit down on that one but changed my mind again after really looking at pics and compareing the two homes...i lost my security deposit and he got pissed. He suggested that I may not be serious about buying and that I should take a break and look more or even think about whether I really want to buy or not....meanwhile I went ahead without him and secured my deal with the first house...should I let him go or let him get commission?

keep in mind, he only gets paid if he makes a sale so he hasnt made any money yet...I do think he deserves his commission, I even apologized for causeing him so much frustration, but I think he is still upset....I want him to get paid, but I told him all he has to do is sign for his commission and that I would do everything else myself....which i did.

Sometimes if you go into a deal like that without an agent there is more room for negotiation. If that's the case dump the realtor. I hate when they play that "if you don't buy this house I have 3 more people interested in it and looking this afternoon" crap.

If you truly feel he hasn't done a good job and it's not a friend I would say no big deal, dump him.

Even if that's not the house for you maybe it's time to find a new agent. Good luck!

If he directed your attention (IN ANY WAY) to the house you are purchasing...he should get his money.

I would let him go, obviously he did not perform his job up to par, as you paid him to.
