my principal wont let me go visit my family for christmas break just because he doesnt want students missing more than 3 days at a time. can he do that? my parents are already mad at him.

forget him. just say that you are absent. and if u r at a boarding school then just leave. Or tell your parents to pick you up. And get your work for the whole christmas break. So you dont come back with lots of work to make up.

i would get a copy of the school rules book and see what it says legally where i live you are allowed to miss up to four days with parent calling in and letting the school know and if you are on christmas break from school theer is nothing he can say about it anyway you are allowed so many missed days but if you miss too many you might have to go to truancy court or be held back a school year or both i would go over the rules and see what they say

No your principle can't do that, if you make everything up you will be fine. All you have to do is bring in a note from your parents saying you had a death in the family or you have some emergancy or saying that u were very ill. The school has no choice but to accept it.

I have NEVER heard of such a thing.. Yes, he probably can.. BUT.. if your parents were strong, they would go directly to the school board and NOT go thru the principal
