Astrological observations were used as a means of keeping time, track of season, and repeating stories as well as biblical memorization and continuation, before written word and other tools were developed. A christian cannot deny it, we are told in the book of Enoch that the angels taught astrology and enchantments to humans, and were punished for it.

Most Christians are not really dedicated to their faith. It is the same as saying I am a democrat or republican, yet you have views that are opposite or non aligned with the party.

The references in the Bible ALL tell of God having made and set the stars and not that the stars influence us.

God is the one who influences us IF we want Him too. It is because Christians have really experienced the influence of God in their lives that they go to Him rather than to the stars which are merely part of what He created.

You have a valid point.
The wise men saw the star that pointed them to Jesus.
And even many ancient civilizations saw in the stars that a lion (Jesus, the Lion of Judah) would defeat the serpent (Satan), by drawing pictures of a lion crushing the head of a serpent.
