It is because the Muslims know that their religion is really different that they hate and have been warring against the Jews, Catholics and other Christians since the 7th century. Their war of aggression did not cease from that time until they were completely defeated trying to conquer Vienna in the early 17th century.

Check the history books. The Christian Crusades were begun as attempts to free formly Chistian lands from the Muslims who had conquered them and forced them to become Muslims.

Good question. Only an opinion, but, I do think that there would be far less altercations. In each of the religions listed, some form of love thy neighbor and thy enemy is stated.
When the Pope made remarks about the violence of Muslims, they responded by being violent. Linus stood up in church and said, "Where are the hypocrites, I don't see any hypocrites!"

I know how similar our religions are, and so do other muslims. I don't 'hate' jews and christians, I just disagree with parts of their religion in which i believe they have been mislead.

No! There is no war more bloody than a civil war. Just this past week - two groups of muslims (Shiites and Sunnis) lighting one another on fire and killing each other. Two groups of christians (catholic and prod) in N. Ireland - trying to kill each other.

I think the solution is education about science.

They're religions may be similar, but the ideals aren't. Muslims hate all other religions because they are told by their book that they are the only right one. I don't think they could ever not hate others. Sorry I don't know enough about Jewa beliefs to answer more. =[.

If clearly thinking, without emotional attachment to an issue/people - Yes.
It's the other emotions - when in full passion - that cause the troubles we have. Once emotions get out of control hard for humans to think clearly.

heck no! human nature has a way to keep the anger and bitterness going strong generation after generation--if they found they had so much in common--they would then look at skin color, language, cultural differences--anything!!!! lets not forget Male VS. Female--sorry, i see no hope here--especially when its hard enough to get Baptists and methodists to keep ppppppppppeace--no--i will have to say "NO"

These religions are not at all simular.

Christianity is not a religion - it is a way of life.

Whom the Son sets free - is free indeed!

Probably, but that would take some enlightened thinking. Plus, some people get rich on war. Just ask George Bush and his pals....

I think we do. I think it is the opportunity to be able to hate, being given as a right, makes religious zealotry more appealing
