In the ladies room. Poor guy was wasted, got confused and came into the ladies room of the bar. He looked at me and said "Do you have a d***k under that dress?, or am I in the wrong room?". I told him he was in the wrong room. He said "You are far to pretty to have a d***k anyway, wanna go out sometime?" I laughed and asked him who he was with and helped him find his friends. He was far to wasted to be left alone. As far as it working, not really I never saw him again.

It's not really a strange place, but a guy I used to see when I was out walking/jogging on a bike trail along the river in Shreveport, LA stopped one day and asked for my number. We'd probably seen each other half a dozen times out exercising on that trail.
We went out once...just didn't "click"
Most of the guys I've gone out with the past decade have been ones I've met online...I hardly ever get approached offline other than when I got to a nightclub/bar with friends (but I discount drunks guys in bars).

once i was leaving a yoga class and decided to go to a spa nearby. I went to the back got changed into my baithing suit and headed to the steam room, after sitting there awhile i decided i'd get on home. I walked into the ladies section, got partly undressed and turned around, when i did there was this man standing there and he looked me over then said "wanna get some dinner sometime??" I was so shocked i just grabbed my towel and ran!.....I drove home in sweats and a towel!
my husband didnt mind that so much ;), but i'm lucky there wasnt any traffic!!
however, after feeling verry embarassed i kinda began to feel flattered. He asked me out to dinner after seeing me topless, he musta liked what he saw!! haha
But to answer the rest of your question no it didnt work even if i wasnt married.

umm... i would have to say, at a resturant, i was sapending the afternoon w/ my family, and this guy just came over and asked me out!
i sed no... but i still thought it was kind of sweet...
