ok so my old boyfriend of 1 year moved away this summer. Over thanksgiving break we were on the phone and he was talking weird. I was in my room at my house, not thinking annythig of it. Conidering that we were in a long relationship I figured he was having problems with his girlfriend because we were both hurt with his move 4 states away. Neway we were talking and all of a sudden i lost connection. Not even 2 secconds later he was standing at my front door ringing my doorbell. I was so shocked i gave him a huge hug.....sadly knowing that he was attached to another woman. Was this my chance to have my fairytale ending? Was i stupid not to take it because i knew that he was involved?

possibly yes because he came from 4 states away to see you without the other girl....... I would call him an ask what was up with that did you just want to hang and be friends or did you want something else....... Just be blunt and honest that is the best way to go with situation like this.... Fairytales are a myth an on;y real life happens... and only you can make the best of it I hope you get the answer you want and are happy

You did things just the way you should have. Sure, you could've had a Holiday fling with him, but as soon as he moved back, things would have went right back to the way they were. Even if you had gotten him to commit a relationship with you, he'd have ended up going back to his girlfriend eventually.
Forget him and move on.
