First question is are you a Christian or attempting to be one ? seems like an odd statement ...
if you are a christian then you should ask your self if you are convicted in your heart by the holy spirit to stop this action...
Is this question because someone told you ..you shouldn't play this game or do u feel convicted ... if it's your parents then you should listen to them if its the holy spirit you should listen ...
If it's something somebody just said you should hear it , check your intentions / conviction and if you're not convicted by your own conscience,,, quietly ignore them .....on small
issues not covered in the bible don't worry about others opinions especially things not directly talked about ..
some eat meat others don't ...
if they're not against us they're for us....don't make an enemy of your brother by pestering him over trivial matters ...however if the game is full of anti christian ideology /violence...etc.. the answer should be obvious what to do.....sorry i don't know the game ...

Why not? FF8 is a classic game.
She means Final Fantasy 8 (the video game) I'm assuming.

Of course it is.
I can't stand it when people censor games. I understand not letting your child play certain games because of violence or sexual themes, but if you're an adult, or old enough to think for yourself, playing a game such as FF8 shouldn't present any problems unless you confuse real life with gaming...in that case you shouldn't even be watching TV.

lol. just an FYI, FF7 was much better story line. i was just restarting last night and lost my memory card so i cant save my games =[ ima play some ff8 when i get home i think

LOL! FF 8 is an awesome game! I hardly think that your god would want you to miss out on a truly cool experience.... There's nothing devilish or satanistic about the FF games. Play it and have fun!

Yeah, the GF's are not even mythologically acurate (Quetzalcoatl was not a lightning spirit, Shiva is not an ice spirit, it is a fire one. Odin wields a spear, not a sword, and Gilgamesh was a wrestler who didn't wield swords) The worst it could do is confuse you about mythology...
And it is a great game :)
