my bf & I dated almost 3 years. I don't talk to him at all & he's done some things that he shouldn't have done, it involves with another girl but nothing really bad atleast that's what he's told me. Anyways it's been 7 months since we broke up. When he and our friends and i get together or whenever he sees me he says hi, but i totally ignore him, pretend like i didn't hear anything or see him at all. However, for the last few weeks we had our friends "get together thing" again he didn't show up or he would leave right away. Why d'ya think he did that? well i know one thing for sure is that he tries to avoid me but why when he doesn't love me anymore (that's what i think anyway)? when he's confessed to me about the things he's lied to me about, i clearedly have told him that when i see him i'd pretend he's not there at all. it still hurts me a lot cuz i know that i still love him but i try to fight my feelings. shouldn't it be easier for him to see me anyways & not get hurt?

Hes probably ashamed of what he did to you and by you ignoring him all the time he feels like a loser. So he doesnt want to be around you anymore so he can get ignored like hes a piece of trash,,,in which case he deserves the silent treatment until you get over what he did to you.

Ok, you ignore the guy and expressed to him your disappointment....but then now he does not show up anymore and your confused????

Why would that surprise you? The guy doesn't want to be reminded of you or be around you when all you are going to do is ignore him or make it obvious that you disapprove of his presence...What the heck do you want him to feel or do?

I mean, I would understand if you two were still dating, but your not anymore. He is probably trying to get over you, and it is kind of hard to do that when your around all the time.

When you are truly over someone and there are no hard feelings then seeing one another should not be an issue. When people are not honest with their feelings and are acting immature stuff like this happens. Why are you guys still habging around the same folks? You all need closure.

i was in a similar situation, i was with my bf for two years and he went out and did some things as well. even though you think they dont care anymore, they still do. My bf and i are friends now..both dating other people but he told me, he didnt wanna see me back then b.c he knew he had hurt me and it hurt him to see me knowing this. i was just a reminder of what he lost and messed up. so.your ex is probably just doing that because he knows hes missin out and he fu**ed up. . it wont be any easier for him then it is for you.

Well you ignoring him and not answering him when he says hi etc... probably makes him feel akward and uncomfortable around you so he just tries to avoid the situation all together.

I think it is time for you to move on and not even look at him if it hurts you to see him. I mean, if it hurts you and him to see each other, then all of your life, you will be hurt or comparing every guy to him. Don't go there. It will hurt you more than him.
