This is my own recipe. They have a richer flavor and color than most oatmeal cookie recipes. For a nice treat add raisins along with the nuts and chocolate chips. I've been baking these for 35 years and I've yet to find any cookie my husband likes better.
OATMEAL COOKIES
¾ cup butter
1-cup brown sugar
½-cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1-teaspoon vanilla
1-tablespoon molasses
1 cup white flour
1-teaspoon salt
½-teaspoon baking soda
½-teaspoon cinnamon
3-cups oatmeal (quick or old fashioned)
1-cup pecan pieces
12-ounces chocolate chips
Set oven at 350 degrees. Beat first seven ingredients. Slowly mix in flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon until well blended. Mix in oatmeal followed by pecans and chocolate chips.
Scoop onto 2 large cookie sheets with small ball scoop, baking for 17-19 minutes, removing from oven when golden brown. Cool only one or two minutes until cookies can be removed easily with spatula. If you wait too long they will break when you remove them. Yield: 3-dozen large cookies.
The recipe looks long and complicated but it's very simple since you just throw everything into the mixer bowl. It doesn't take any longer than a simple chocolate chip cookie.

I have a very simple, holiday cookie recipe that is sure to be a hit. Both kids, and adults loves these cookies, and the recipe can easily be altered to fit any holiday, or everyday!
Wreath Cookies
4 cups of Corn Flakes
40 marshmallows
1 tsp Almond or Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Green Food Coloring
1 stick of butter
Red Hot Candies (optional)
Melt butter and marshmallows in microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Heat again in micro for 30 seconds. Stir again. Continue heating in micro in15 seconds incriments until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps. Stir in food coloring and extract. Mix in Corn Flakes. Drop onto wax paper. If so desired, form into wreath shapes, however, this can be time consuming, and the cookies are just as good in a mount. Make sure to butter hands because they will stick. If desired, add red hot candies to the top. Allow to dry for at least an hour. Enjoy.
To make the cookies for any holiday, simply change the food coloring, or skip the food coloring all together. This is a great recipe to make with the kids!!

*whimper* You have to be more specific about the types you want. I have a great snickerdoodle (sugar cookie with cinnamon sugar, crisp edges, chewy center) recipe that I adjusted and an incredible triple ginger gingersnap recipe (uses powdered, fresh, and candied ginger). I have a really great Seven Layer Bar recipe that is sublime and my chocolate chip cookies aren't standard, either. So . . . what are you looking for -- at least in general?

bake them in a pan instead of dropping small amounts in cookie shapes. I don't change a thing except maybe make a double batch since its so much easier. I like to under bake them just a bit, and I also make sure the dough is spread out to its not too thick in the pan so I don't end up over baking because the edges can get pretty hard.
