I keep kibble out for my 2 cats all the time. I still feed them both canned food once a day and divide up the can between the both of them. No they're not fat. The thing is, I've noticed one of my cats wanders around the apartment meowing after I feed her her Fancy Feast canned food in the evening. It's almost like she just wants to wander around to hear herself talk or something. Any idea what that's about?

I have a 4 yr old Himalayan cat that does the same thing, he goes threw the house especially in the bedroom meowing and mostly in the evening. I haven't figured out why. Maybe it's the wild instinct coming out in them :)

my cats do this sometimes too, but they will do it before i feed them, and then i feed them, but they aren't interested in the food. they often follow me around the house or go sit next to their toys (hint hint) and i think they just want to get attention or cuddles or to be played with. despite what most people say about cats, they really are quite social.

Your kitty is being vocal yes cats like to hear there own voice sometimes. I have one like that and he loves to meow and I have noticed for no reason at all. They like to hear themselves meow..cats are cats...
