I'd say it's probably more. I'm sorry but all the illegals out there aren't all nice hardworking people and they are responsible for a huge increase of crime. If it's not in you're neighborhood now.....it soon will be.

More alarmist propaganda... Those numbers cannot possibly be surported.
First... Let's look at FBI violent offenses stats for 2005
US Pop = 296,410,404
Violent Offenses = 1,390,695
Murder and nonnegligent manslaughter = 16,692
(BOTH these #'s are much lower than the stats in the 90's per capita and nominally).
The report says that out of 16,692 murders last year, about 4,380 were commited by illegal aliens (that's a little over 26% of all murders)
About 5% of the US pop is composed of illegal aliens or just under 15 million people.
Could illegal aliens as a specific subgroup composing 5% of the US pop commiting 26%??? That's just absurd!
Where do the vast majority of these illegal aliens live? The West, Midwest, South, or Northeast??
I hope you guessed the West! Nearly 1/2 of all illegal aliens are thought to live in western states...
So, that would mean that the western states would have an substantially large amount murders... NOT true...
In 2005 the percent of murders took place by region as follows:
42.6% in the South
23.6% in the West
19.4% in the Midwest
14.4% in the Northeast
Not convinced?? Well lets take a look at the 2005 murder rates in key states (# murders per 1000 inhabitants).
California, Arizona, New Mexico, New York, and Texas have the some of the highest illegal alien populations both nominally and per capita.
CA = 6.9
AZ = 7.5
NM = 7.4
NY = 4.5
TX = 6.2
Now what about states that have low/negligble # of illegal immigrants?
AL = 8.2
LA = 9.9
MD = 9.9
MS = 7.3
So... Bottom line the numbers given in that article are totally bogus!

I call it 'froggy-in the-pot'. Heat the water slowly enough, froggy doesn't know his goose is cooked until it's all over but the frog soup. Systematic exploitation of our immigration system has been going on for years, decades even, it's been 20 years since the '86 amnesty, numbers like that are shocking, but they're important to really understand what's going on. There's a reason for having the immigration laws, and border laws, and so forth, and again, it's about 20 years overdue to have the stuff finally carried through and enforced.
Countries like Mexico can carry their own water without having an all-access backstage pass to the United States. Time to enforce the immigration laws...

I didn't read all of that I just read the headline and you have to be careful about what the media and government tell you. Don't believe everything and besides you see more white people in the pen for killing than any one else.

I read this and laughed when I got to this part : Though no federal statistics are kept on murders or any other crimes committed by illegal aliens, a number of groups have produced estimates based on data collected from prisons, news reports and independent research. SO? You go ahead and believe everything your told. It's clearly only propaganda.

When illegals are arrested they need to be sent away out of this country. But instead they are given a court date and sent on their way.

it probably is true, it doesn't look like a trashy mag article...
we need to send the crap back where it belongs,,,,i certainly don't want to pay for new jails, so that while I bust my hump everyday they will get free meals, and all the sex they can handle
