Just don't eat teh yellow snow!!

Naw, so long as it is clean, you are fine. Just melt it first, otherwise, if you were outdoors or something, you could end up with hypothermia. But if you are thinking for a survival situations, ice would be better. To get enough water, you would have to melt a ton of snow.

Why not! Snow is just frozen water crystals. If you are going to eat/drink a lot of it, boiling if would be a good idea to get rid of most of the bacteria. Just remember, watch out for the yellow snow!

I think It's ok to eat snow but as far as boiling It how will you get It In the house before It melts?

Yes, you can eat it. When the electricity is out it can also be brought into the house and we melted it on the kerosene heater top so we could bathe during the ice storm. Also made coffee and tea at that time and boiled eggs in the snow water.

Snow is basically just frozen rain. Totally ok to eat and you don't have to boil it unless you want it hot.
But watch out for the yellow snow.

Yes and no. The snow won't poison you or anything - it's just frozen water, after all. But if you eat it, you're going to drop your body's core temperature down pretty fast, and if you're not in a place you can warm up, you can get into trouble that way.

Yes, but if you eat snow it makes you even thirstier and when you melt it, the snow just evaporates. Its almost impossible because theres so much air in it. Ice will melt easily into lots of water.
