I have a palm sized colored (violent and blues) theater masks on my right shoulder. Should I be looking for a tattoo with big black ink blocks, or something with a lot of color and detail?

And if you can suggest some free tattoo design sites, that would be helpful too!

i am having some stuff covered right now and it's amazing what can be done. you may end up just having to have a much larger piece put on your back and the masks you have now can be worked into something else. maybe black hair of a pinup or a geisha? i don't know what it looks like so it's hard for me to say. but good luck with your coverup!

You will need to get something in a dark color, dark blue or black would cover up blue. If you are looking for something else you may want to consider getting it lightened first. That would open up your options more. Best thing to do is go into your local tattoo shop and show them your tattoo and ask them what they think would work for that space for a cover up tattoo. If you like their ideal have them do your cover up. Good Luck!

The best thing to do is go see your selected tattoo artist and give them an idea of what you want. They should at that point, take a picture of the tat you have now and design something that will work as a cover up. Good luck!

Talk to your local tattoo artist. He or she should be able to give you an idea of what will work best.
