For people who don't believe God exists because there is no 'proof', where's the proof that he DOESN'T exist? And considering that you speak of scientific proof then show me some scientific proof...

To the Ydonkey guy or whatever you're called. Look at the universe, do you think it is a coincidence that everything jus exists. There must be something behind it ie God created it. My Question is very logical. I'd like to see some proof of your beliefs.

My proof for God's existence is life. I don't know how you believe the world was created by just a big bang, and then suddently humans were created somehow, and here we are, if you don't believe in God. I don't want to hear about bad grammar blah blah blah. I asked a question, I don't need a question in return, just an answer to my question would be nice.

Marliboco...no i haven't read the bible, im not christian.
"have you seen people die in devistation, famine, poverty, war, rape, crime.. it dosen't add up to there being a god. Theres my proof."
-The world is not perfect, it's not like God made these people do these things, people have free will. I believe that the reason for this existence is a test for everyone to see whether they believe in God, and whether HUMANS will help people who need help eg people dying of starvation. If humans can help, God does not need to. Humans are the ones who are doing these crimes, and humans are the ones who should stop them from happening because we can.

Gustavo R ...I don't understand what that has to do with anything. I don't see anything wrong with eating animals.
By the way I'm not taking away people's freedom to not believe in God, it's just that people ask what proof we have that God exists, and I just want to know what proof they have that he does not... That's all.

Daniel C... The proof that he does exist is around you, and I believe it is in the Quran, which I recommend you read, even if you don't believe in God. So i'm going to need better proof than that please.

Why should God help poor, suffering people when humans can do it? Just because humans don't do it, does it mean they don't exist? I believe that this life is a test to see whether we do do these good things. If God was going to fix everything bad in the world, then what's the point of existence on the Earth only to go to heaven after we die?

If we did not have diseases and other things happening to us, then how would we die? Surely we have to die someway. So you can not use diseases as evidence that God does not exist.
And yes I understand only scientific evidence is counted as proof, but there are some things science can not account for, such as God. How do we know that what exists is only what we can see, touch or measure? Hasn't anyone done psychology?

rb_19...- You're describing this "spaggetti monster" just as we describe God. I know that there is a creator of the universe, I know that, and I call him Allah. Some may call him other things, you may call him a spaggetti monster for example. Either way, I know a God exists because it seems highly logical that there is a creator of the universe and there is a purpose to this life.

The proof that God doesn't exist is the absence of proof that God does exist.
If you're going to add a detail that is an argument against mine, then the purpose of your question is defeated.
It's not proof if you have to believe it for it to be true. I could read any holy book and I could say, "that's not proof, it's all a bunch of lies." So you see, to me, your proof is not valid. To you, my proof is not valid. So asking for the proof of an atheist is irrelevant since you're not going to give it any validity anyway.
For the sake of argument, I'll bring up the problem of evil. I think you'll agree with me that evil does exist. Where did it come about? Many theists argue that God did not create evil, as this would not be characteristic of an all-good God. However, if God created everything, there must have been one place where evil originated. What was the original evil act? God supposedly created the being which committed the first evil act, so something must have gone wrong for this being to do wrong when it was created by a good creator.
I'll also go as far as saying it is not characteristic of an all-good God to create humans that go to hell. God is also all-knowing, so when each of us is created, God knows if we will go to hell in the end or not (regardless of whether God has anything to do with our acts). God is all-knowing. God knows what actions I'll do out of my free will. God knows if I'll be punished for eternity, even before I live out my life.
You can't say, "God does not know if we will be eternally punished or not," because God knows everything. So let's say my friend Jim dies and is punished for all eternity. What was God's plan in creating this human that it knows will be punished in the end? There's no explanation.

I don't believe God exists but i cant prove it to you i just know from my life experience that the one people believe in is no more than a story told thousands of years ago which just keeps getting passed on and passed on as for a few of my reasons why so many innocent men women and children suffer but i don't see all the evil people in the world suffering
i had a tragedy many years ago and someone from the church came and said that god was by my side and he would help me through it and that praying to hI'm he would be able to talk to me well what a load of b******t i kept on doing it but decided i would never believe in something that is a STORY im sorry but unless someone can come up with concrete evidence then i shall never believe

Did God show his existence when Andrea Yates was drowning all 5 of her children? No
Does God show his existence when children all over the world are being abused? No
Did God show his existence when my Uncle and his fiance were killed by a drunk driver? No
Did God show his existence when millions were killed during the Holocaust? No
Ask every rape victim, ask every parent who's ever had a child pass away, ask every person living on the streets, If God showed his existence to them.
It may not be scientific proof, but it's proof enough for me that God does not exist.

I don't want to appear truculent, but when you propose that something (that no-one can see, hear, feel, touch, or sense) exists, the burden of proof rests with you, not with me. I see no evidence for a god, so I assume there isn't one. Some people look at the same lack of evidence and wish that there is a god, and there we have the origin of religion.

You are obviously not of a scientific bent. If I claim Nessie exists, I, ME, the CLAIMANT, needs to support this with evidence. The CLAIMANT also would need to provide proof of, Pixies, Fairies, Demons, Devils, UFO`s, Yeti, Bigfoot, God, Angels, Ghosts, Banshees, and Santa Claus. Science evaluates verifiable data, just like the Law courts. If YOU make absurd claims, the law, and science expects YOU to prove it! Tapeworms and Cancer are part of a "divine plan" from a loving and caring God - disprove that!

Superman is real. Where s your "proof" to say that he isn t?
Elvis was an alien. Where s your "proof" to say he that wasn t?
There s an invisible man on the moon. Where s your "proof" to say there isn t?
God is just another case of innocent untill proven guilty but in this case real until proven fake.
People don t believe that big foot is real as its never been caught so why should it be any different for God?
Just because someone says something is real, it doesn t automatically make it real as no one can disprove it.

Try to disprove this:
There exists a flying spaghetti monster. He controls everything in the universe and created everything in 7 days. He can neither be seen or felt, and he is beyond space and time, which means he can never be observed by us in anyway whatsoever. Only way u can see him is if u die. Nothing needs to create him because he is the ultimate creator and is beyond space and time.

No one on earth can prove if there is a god or not, but I will tell you a true story, and then you can make up your own mind. Three years ago, my ex wife was very seriously ill in hospital,so much so, that the doctor said she could go anytime. There was nothing else anybody coul do for her. I left her bedside to go out for a smoke, and I had to pass the hospital chapel on the way. I had my smoke and decided to go into the chapel snd say a prayer. then I left to go home for some sleep. When I woke up in the morning, I had a strange feeling about my Ex. I phoned the Hospital to ask how she was, and was told that there is a slight improvement. She eventually recovered completely and is as normal as she was before. So, did God hear my prayer?

Evil does not exist. Evil is merely the absence of God, therefore God did not create evil, although rejecting God brings evil into our lives.
If you don't believe in God, there is no amount of evidence that can MAKE you believe in God. To believe in God you need faith, and if you don't have that, you will NEVER believe in God, regardless of how much evidence is shown to you.
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we do not see."

God does exist. There are no need for scientific discovery. There are certain things that we can figure out by ourselves. Humans are a complex being. We can't create another human. e.g Will you believe me if i say a single log will turn into a house in just a couple of days. If you do it means you are stupid=Atheist
