Please? I am getting married tomorrow and we still have not composed our vows. He is Muslim and I am just spiritual (no religion)..but we are keeping religion out of our vows anyway so we really just want something nice. Any suggestions? No jokes, please.

By the way,
it is not as if I just thought of it..I was really not aware that you could write your own since it is being performed at a civil ceremony. I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions about going about it at this late hour..because really I would rather use our own hearts rather then canned words. I just wasn't sure if there were things that needed to be included to make it legal or something.

I sent you a message. You can print it out and highlight the stuff you like on the way to the ceremony. Let your officiate worry about the order to say it and everything. Relax!
Let me know how everything went if you like, once you're back from the honeymoon!

just write what you feel onto paper first.
from there you can refine it, but there is no way that we can honestly do this for you, as its from the heart those types of things come from.
I don't even begin to know the personality of you or him,...
only way this could be even remotely possible is if I knew you, or had a very detailed post describing your feelings, from there I could possibly render that into a tear jerking mass of word creativity's, but without something to go on, I might as well be writing to a book, and i mean literally because all I see are words.
Sorry to be so blunt, but really, how can we help with no information to base our writings on. I will be glad to help within a certina relm of time, but time wears thin as I get up very very early for work

Thats personal. You have too come up with vows that come from the heart. Why don't you just tell him what you love about him in your vows and come up with special promises.

Go to www.theknot.com. They have a vow writing article on there. Just type "vows" into their search and it will help.
Good luck!

Do you, Marge, take Homer, in richness and in poorness" -- poorness is underlined -- "in impotence and in potence, in quiet solitude or blasting across the alkali flats in a jet-powered, monkey-navigated race car... and it just goes on like this.

Go from the heart. Express how you feel...and instead of "til death" (which I never liked) try "as long as it's good and right for us both"
Congratulations and may you have many happy years together. :)

Just say how much you love the person and tell them you want to spend the rest of your life learning more about him
