What kind of dress would you wear if you had big hips round waist and smallish breasts?

I've never worn a dress in my life. So I guess my wedding is a good place to start.

My body figure is very weird i guess.... I have 42Dcup breasts my waist if you look from the front is hour glass but from the side is round hence round waist, and my hips are larger with no bum. Why style dress would look flattering?

Something A-line. And I hope you don't go strapless- that would be too much (42 D is considered rather large for breasts). David's Bridal has some dresses for larger sized woman, if you consider yourself larger size?

I just got married this past September 2006 ,and purchased my dress at Alfred Angelo's( www.AlfredAngelos.com) I tried on at least 10 and narrowed the decision down to 2 ,however take with you the most honest person you trust who will tell you the truth of how the dress looks on you. Choosing the dress was the best part of getting married! Have Fun !!!!
P.S Looking at the dresses on the web site is ok but seeing them in person is a lot better !!!

I wouldn't recommend an empire-cut bodice or a mermaid-cut skirt. I agree with Sabine, something A-line with an emphasis on less petticoats would look nice. A halter top or off-the-shoulder would be my suggestion with the combination of an A-line skirt and your cup size. No strapless, but no sleeves either. Sleeves make you feel confined. Definately try to go for something you can be comfortable in as well as something flattering. It's no use to look gorgeous if you can't breath and can't sit.
