I told a really good friend that she is my type, but I wanted to remain friends. I only told her this because I was asking her why she was flirting with me. It seemed she was, but she denied it. We agreed to remain friends.

Now, we are better friends than before. I told her she is a really good friend of mine, and she was really happy to hear this, but now she told some little girls that I am her boyfriend as a "joke" and is saying things like "you seem really good with girls" when I hung out with some other girls at a party.

What is going on? We are still great friends...I think...

She sounds like she likes you more than just a friend and she also sounds jealous that you were with other girls at the party. Either that or she is really young or immature.↔
