type 1 is most common. this is when someone's body doesn't make any insulin. type 2 is usually in adults because the body can no longer make enough or can't use it efficiently.

Type 1, sadly enough. Type 2 is usually in the later years due to bad eating, overweight.
Type 1 is genetic.

type one is called childhood onset diabetes, its usually genetic and emerges in the first 10 yrs of life. Type 2 is usually adult onset, caused by poor diet and exercise habits.It is slowly becoming more prevalent in children too, due to obesity rates rising.
