I got it in my early 30s and had to go to doctors I was given some antibiotics used for acne I was on them a long time I was told to be carefull as to what I put on my face so I used a clean flannel every time soaked in lukewarm water and gave a good clean much better than exfoliating things that you buy and does the same job I can only use nivea and so a little of that I still do this and never get any spots at all am 48 now lots of times it can be hormones as well my friends and family do the same and they don't get any either good clean skin it's horrible when you have something like that cause no matter how small when you look in the mirror it's like that's all you see is spots good luck and hope it goes soon take care

If it is acne, as opposed to jsut a few spots i would go to the doctor and get some medication/cream for it. That will most likely get rid of them - although bear in mind you may have to try out different forms as not all creams/med work for everyone. It will be a case of trial and error. Since it began when you started uni it is likely that stress may be the underlying cause of your acne. Stress can lead to overactive hormone activity and thus lead to spots. So do what i said, go to the doc!

If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.
For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.
Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.
Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

If it's bothering you too much or making you lose self confidence, then I might suggest going to see your GP as they can prescribe antibiotics for you. Personally, I found that no matter what I put on my skin, it didn't seem to make any difference, so I think that getting rid of it from the inside works much better. You could also try just eating healthier too, like eating more fruit (I know it sucks) but it might help.

the same thing happened to me and my sister. i was using proactive for awhile but it really wasn't working for me but it really helped my sister. she had to stop using that because the payments were to much so we went and got her this stuff from walmart called acne free clear skin treatment it worked great for her. its only $20 at walmart. me on the other hand needed something else. i got the birth control pill and it helped clear of all those bumps and pimples. that was after i tried all the face cleaners lol. if cleansers don't work try going to the dermatologist.

im 26 and still sufferingb with this, talk to your doctor, there is a certain pill contrception that also reduces spots, this is great. and there are creams and lotions that can be prescribed too, i am using them at the moment and they seem to be clearing better than they were.germaline is another good one.ask your pharmacist for this one.
