she doesnt show me any affection. she doesnt even hold my hand. i have been dating her fo about a month and a half. she acts like my girlfriend on the phone but not at school. why. and how do i get her to hold my hand? ps i am 18 and she is 17. and she is very religious if that has anything to do with it

that has nothing to do with it....my neighbor is very religous and does way more stuff with guys than holding hands and kissing....her parents are very strict and try to keep her away from guys but shes 18!!! anywho....you just need to grab her hand, because maybe she is scared to hold your hand, you just need to make the first move.

If she is religious then it would not be good to be alone with her because she will resist temptation, and hand holding. Double date with other people with equal interests. She sounds special and it might be worth the investment of more time. After a couple of months, if she doesn't hold your hand and show a little affection she may never do it. Some people are brought up that way, they don't know how. I find religious people give good relationships.

talk to her, holding hands should not be a problem, showing affection at school is not bad as long as it mature affection but it looks like she is still to young to understand what a guy needs, you could just break up and find someone new who dose show you things things but first give her an idea on how you are feeling

Some people don't really know how to be affectionate. It's probably something she doesn't see at home a lot. I'd talk to her about it and ask her whats up. It also could be that she is waiting for you to make the first move. If you already have then she probably is a little shy when it comes right down to it.

Are you her first B/F? Maybe she's nervous and doesn't know what to do. Religious does play a role in it because I was that way also. I don't show any affection to my boyfriend until we got engaged that's when I was comfortable enough to be intimate with him.

OK, how can u expect her to hold Ur hands and why, this thing has something to do with emotions and not holding hands. and i think she is effected by her religion. she is shy only doing so, give her time. and do not lose her through pushing her holding Ur hands.

that's probably it.... the fact that she's so religious.... and if its not that then she's just hiding the fact that she goes out with you when you guys are at skool.... you're 18 and she's 17... if she dont claim you then get another mature girlfriend

I say take it slowly, and give her time. Her parents and friends probably tell her it's not a good thing. What you should do it ask her.
