Like big cars, big guns etc. do they try to overcompensate?

Lets think about it. How many 6ft 6" , 18 stone women do you know. Hence need a big car. Do you see many women with hands like spades. Can you imagine a derringer or other small gun in his hands.
On the other hand men of this size and stature are disadvantaged through the likes of electronic equipment being miniaturised , for eg mobile phones and texting, camcorders.

Because they have small brains, seriously its a status thing, my house is bigger than your house etc, etc , etc. Also most of them use the excuse that they did without as kids, and this would some how make up for that.

Makes them feel better about themselvs believe me, daddy got a range rover, hubby got a land rover, daddy is now think about a hummer. it's not just overcompensateing it a pride things they cant be out done by someone else

Men like to feel that they have the power. So owning big thing make their ego go up. They also might use it as a representation of their size.

I don't know about those other things but I do know that small to medium sized cucumbers are much more flavorful than big, over sized ones.

"Compensating" doesn't have anything to do with anything. Guys are typically big, or at least bigger than women. We would look ridiculous driving a Mazda Miata, popping rounds out of a pea shooter, etc. Big toys for big boys.
