If you are experiencing dryness then you should use a gentle microdermabrasion. No need to go to the doctor's office for this one. You can pick up a microderm kit like the one Neutrogena offers @ Walgreen's for under $30, but be sure to follow up with a soothing toner or lotion. I would recommend Lancome's Tonique Confort (@ Dillard's). Or if you really want to invest in a great product pick up Lancome's Resurface-C Microdermabrasion kit($85). If you are allergic to Vitamin C you can purchase the scrub separate from the soothing lotion, but either way always follow up with some sort of light moisturizer. Microderm is not an everyday scrub so limit your use to 2-3 times weekly, and DO NOT RUB YOUR FACE! Because the shape of the crystals in microderm creams are flat and angular, and not bead-like like facial scrubs, the crystals will act kind of like a shovel by going under the dead damaged skin (your dry skin) and lift it up. Your skin will great!

NEVER use a gel toothpaste on your skin. You should only use a paste. I would first wash with an exfoliating cleanser, then moisturize, at night with a heavy moisturizer, and lighter during the day.

That's why I use all natural toothpaste like Jason, Tom's or Nature's Gate. Regular toothpaste has all kinds of chemicals that can cause that.

i know a few diferent things you could use [[DONT SCRATCH IT--WHATEVER YOU DO DONT!!]] and dont use anything with perfume-alcohal--or moisturizer bead type things in it!!
but you can apply either of the following to the irritated areas the night before and it'll help sooth it and repair your skin little by little-- you might have to do it a few times before it goes away entirely
---Vasiline ---or--- Coco Butter---

i had that happen to me too, and it'd get worse after i'd wash my face (with soap) and brush my teeth, it took a few days to go away, i'd rinse it with water, that helped a lil, but mostly DONT PUT LOTION ON IT! i did that and it made it way worse.
