I've taken her to the doctor and they tell me to bathe her in bleach thats not working. I use a medicated shampoo that seems to help but she keeps getting them. The boils are on her head, i can't even comb my babies hair and its frustrating. She's only 1 and cries because i know she's in pain.

Hi Sexy, That's terrible. Boils are soooo painful and nasty. You really need to take your daughter to see her doctor. He should beable to give you some kind of shampoo to prevent this from happening.I just hope your daughter doesn't get a staff infection.Really i have never heard about babies getting boils on their heads. A Friend.

Boil- A boil (furuncle) is a red, swollen, painful bump under the skin caused by an infected hair follicle. Bacteria from the infection forms a pocket of pus (abscess), which can become large and cause severe pain. Boils occur most often on the face, neck, breasts, buttocks, in the groin area, and in the armpits. Depending on their size and location, many boils can be treated at home with warm compresses and by keeping the skin over the boil clean when it opens and drains. A health professional may need to treat large boils and boils on the face or near the spine or anal area to avoid more serious infections.

Have you taken her to the doc yet? If not the doc should be made aware of this. My best suggestion though is to find a childs shampoo that contains tea tree oil in it and wash her scalp with the shampoo regularly. You didn't say how old she is but if she would know enough not to touch her scalp you could use an ointment with tea tree oil in it also.

Is your baby getting pimples -on- her head, or cysts -in- her head? If it's pimples, and they're on her head, you may need to bathe her more regularly. She may also be allergic to whatever soap or shampoo you're using. Make sure to get a mild, hypo-allergenic soap and keep her clean. If she's getting cysts in her head you need to take her to a doctor. Boils can be caused by hard water. You may want to check into getting a hard water softener.
