my relationship is an 8 hour drIve away no planes/trains and although she is far she is still close but then i guess it depends on the people and their values, i know where my heart lies and i trust my partner so it has made me fonder, every time i see her it feels like ive been born again im so refreshed

Short absences of a few days or even a couple of weeks make the heart grow fonder. Long period of time make a person want to move on and have a normal life, rather than wait around all the time. Unless the person is married and the spouse is in the military.

It depends on how long the absence is. A couple weeks, fonder. A couple years, forgetful.

I guess that all depends on what kind of love you have for each other. It will grow fonder if they cant wait to see you but forgetfull if they use the time to play.

i want to say fonder, but it may be actually both. you do start to appreciate the other person more when you can't see them everyday. then again, if you are away from each other too long, you will start to forget how it is like with each other

definately fonder.. if the person has something for you.
i was absent for 2 days and whilst ive been away the person seemed concerned about my absence.
dont be absent for anymore than a week though that just encourages people to move on.
