Not allowed with acriminal record. No on the job because that would be bad if you were working without a authorization from the government unless you have a business owner who needs you for a job and they can petition you.No certain amount of money but you would have to pay a lawyer to get your paperwork started and also the immigration department to follow through with process.

I can think of four ways you can get into the USA permanently (not counting relatives as I assume you would have asked them before asking here):
1. Refugee. I hope this doesn't apply to you because that means your personal situation is not very nicew at the moment.
2. Job. You would have to get sponsored by an American company. These are becoming very hard to come by. So many jobs have been outsourced to India that the numbers of employment visas have dropped quite a lot.
3. The Diversity Visa lottery. you would have to come froma country which qualifies. Most of western Europe doesn't qualify (But Northern Ireland, for instance, has special rules. There is no fee to enter the lottery. The only official websites end in .gov. If you do come here under that program, some money would be helpful - several thousand US Dollars just to see you through the first few weeks until you get a job.
4. Marriage. The problem with this one is that you have to find and fall in love with an American! That's what I did. The US citizen can sponsor you to come in, but they have to prove that they can support you. There is a formula that is used. You will not be able to work until you get your work permit which takes 3-4 months and there is quite a lengthy process to go through once you are here.
As to your criminal record, it depends what you did and how long ago it was. If you are, say, in your 30's and you did a bit of vandalism in your early teens, you may be alright. However, you should seek citizenship as soon as you can. I heard of a British woman who lived in the USA for 20 years without becoming a citizen. She visited relatives in the UK and, on her return, was refused entry because she had been convicted of smoiking pot at age 19.
Having been through the system, my invariable advice is two-fold:
1. go to www.uscis.gov and read up on the process. Also visit the US embassy website for your country.
2. If you come in on a marriage visa, get an attorney who specializes in immigration law. It costs a few thousand dollars over the course of 3 or 4 years but it is worth every penny.

You are not allowed to emmigrate to America if you have a criminal record, but then saying that it may depend on the seriousness of the crime. Furthermore there are two ways in which you get permission to live in America (besides being a refugee, or having close relatives). First off you need to be offered a job in order to get access to America. Or you have to marry an American citizen. However if you are successful at these that still does not guarantee you permission to live and work in the US. You have to be subjected to medical tests and other checks which by the way you have to pay for yourself. It is a lengthy process and a difficult one. You basically have to prove that you will contribute to the country's economy and will not be a drain on their resources. Maybe Britain should take a leaf out of America's book, instead of letting any ol riff raff enter this country and drain our resources!!!

The best way to get back your ex is https://tr.im/FT7kf
Here's the hard part: Pretend she never existed, like it was all a dream, don't call her, that will make you the smaller person, be the bigger person since you deserve better, what she did to you on Valentines Day was immature, especially after dating for four years. This person wasted allot of your time and through it out the window. Go out tonight, even it it is only yourself, don't drink and call or feel sorry for yourself, this will only cause you embarrassment! I know your hurting..This will eventually will go away in time. Today is not a good day for you and your emotions are spinning all over the place.
Please, whatever you do, don't answer her calls and don't call her. If she keeps calling, which she pro bally won't, don't return her call for 5 days. Make her sweat and DO Not get back together right away if you discuss this in 5 days. Tell her since she Broke up with you, you have done allot of thinking, and had the taste of "being single again" and you would like more time being "friends" for now, so you are sure you are making the right decision. Remember "She decided she didn't want to be with you" so the door is open for you to get out and see what you have been missing for four years. You honestly need to do this for yourself.
She doesn't know, but what she did was give you the best valentines day present you will ever get! A new start and a new beginning, use it to your advantage. You will look back on this and Thank God this happened now instead of 4 more wasted years of YOUR life. Today does suck, stay Strong and I promise you your life is going to be so much more exciting and you are going to be happy. If you continue to call and call her, she will think of you as needy and won't want you. She is going to rethink what she did to you today and will be hurt, if you act like you could care less. Girls always want the ones they can't have. That is who you are now to her. Let her suffer, realizing what a mistake she made. This will drive her crazy. Right now she is on cloud 9 thinking you will take her back, OH, is she stupid!
Your life isn't ruined, hers is..She lost someone special, and gave you a gift to let to live life and find someone you deserve. You are not getting back at her, your teaching her what an idiot she is and what she lost and what you gained without her. SO when You eventually talk to her, tell her thank you for what she did...
She will be hurt and you will be happy!

If you have a criminal record, forget it, unless it is do to something like trying to rescue your children from being jailed by your former government, or things of that nature.
Yes, you MUST have a job, and you MUST have a place waiting for you to live. There is no real financial requirement you have to have other than you can support yourself until you have money coming in to continue in your livelihood. Basically, you just need the basics and show you will be an asset, not a dependent on USA.

u would stand very little chance of getting into america on a permenent basis if u have a criminal record. the other things that u would need are some savings - i don't know how much they want u to have, but i do know it's at least a couple of thousand pounds....... and u also really need to be qualified to do a job that they have shortages of staff for, so teaching or nursing qualifications would be ideal. there are websites that tell u what u need, try typing 'emigrating from uk to america' into a search engine, and i'm sure it will give u details on websites that have the full facts

I just tried https://webmd.im/verispy last year to see if I could Locate my birth-father. My bio father left me when I was 7, and has refused to be a part of my life since. I grew up with my bio Mother and Step-father. I have only ever talked to my biological father a couple times until now. All I knew of him personally when I conducted the search was his first name, last name, and the street address of a previous address he used to have.
When the search results came back based on the minimal info I had, It pulled up a recent address along with even a phone number. When I called the phone no., I heard the voice of what sounded like it may be my step-brother. I asked if Joseph(my biological dad) was there, and he said no but to try back after 5.
I haven't done anything with the info, But I found what I was wanting to have.
