No. I do not 'need' religion, and although I may have sinned I am not a sinner.
Some people want a relationship with a higher power, some people need a relationship with a higher power. It is totally an individual thing.
Of course all mistakes are not sins. If you add the number of apples in a basket and come up with 9 instead of 10 you are a bad counter and made a mistake but there is no sin.
Not all sins are mistakes. Some people know exactly what they are doing is wrong and they go and do it anyways, it is not a mistake just bad judgment.

Partially. It is not as much about needing religion as it is about adhering to the teachings of God. We are not born sinners, but because we have free agency, and because God allowed for there to be evil in the world, we will make decisions, some of which will be sin. Because we all sin, Jesus Christ came down and died for us. It is only through Christ that we can obtain "heaven", or whatever you want to call it, after this life. Organized religion is more or less just a vehicle to get us to where we want to go; religion is not the end all.
Lastly, no, not all mistakes are sin. Sin is going against the will of God. A mistake may just be an err of a law of man.

Three questions - maybe Yahoo will give 3 answer points?
Do all - Universals are seldom true. Philosophers have wrestled for centuries to find one. "Do all" - would include you and my 2 year old grandson.
Because they are sinners? No. Some believe because their heart/soul resounds with wonder and awe, others w/ gratitude for life or some miracle.
ALL mistakes - no. 2 + 2 = 6 is a no-sin mistake. Their are many cultural norms which fit this catagory as well.

ALL people NEED God, because they ARE sinners. It is through Jesus Christ that you are saved- set free from sin. He died and took our place on the cross so those who believe in Him could live eternally. Everyone needs salvation through Jesus Christ and those who reject it will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. For the wages of sin is death- Romans 6:23. There is nothing more important than Jesus Christ and I would want no one to go to Hell- That is why I share the gospel- if we who are saved did not care if people ended up in hell, we would not share the gospel- we would not even bother.
Sin- is anything that goes against God- Look at His Law- that is how you can tell if you have sinned against Him. Look at 1 Corinthians 6 too.

Sadly, most people do NOT think they need God and spend their lifetime refuting Him, ignoring Him, being angry with Him, or running from Him. If people accepted the fact that they are INDEED sinners, separated from a Holy God because of their sin, they would be much more willing to accept His offer of Salvation and Eternal Life.

I don't think all mistakes are sins, but yes, all people are sinners. And sin is at the root of everything that is wrong, including our mistakes.
We don't need God because we feel we are sinners. We need God because we are His creation and depend on Him. We need His forgiveness because we are sinners.

Sin is a term used mainly in a religious context to describe an act that violates a moral code of conduct or the state of having committed such a violation. In monotheistic religions, the code of conduct is determined by God. Colloquially, any thought, word, or act considered immoral, shameful, harmful, or alienative might be termed "sinful".
Error, in several disciplines a synonym for mistake

I don't believe in sin. Or any god. So I don't need religion. Somebody else who isn't as sure of themselves might need something like religion to feel connected or to feel relieved of a bad situation.

No sir,' All People ' do not believe the same thing. Some believe God made us; you believe that nothing made you. So you see, you are a ghost...you do not exist.
