It's supported by mountains of evidence. There's none for any alternative theory. Hope this answers your question.

it is proven that evolution isn't completely true. not that evolution didn't and isn't currently happening but that it is impossible to create life from dust. not to mention where did that dust come from. now if you want a real debate lets talk about micro evolution. micro evolution is still very hard to prove but much more likely to be true. as far as believer vs nonbeliever I have to ask what your talking about. i believe a lot of things and i don't believe a lot of things as well. i dont believe the moon is made out of cheese. am i a nonbeliever? i hate it when people just assume that all christians are these hypocritical idiots that believe blindly in some book. i will give you that yes there are a lot of people out there they claim to be "Christian" or "Catholic" but if you can't see it in the way they live then they are nothing my than a hypocrite. your not born into faith. faith is an active thing.

No one 'believes' in evolution, its's science. Science is not something you can and can't believe in like a religion, its something that is or isn't supported by evidence and hence in overwhelming probability did or didn't happen. Evolution falls into the former of the two.
Just as an idea of the amount of evidence for evolution, the number of peer reviewed papers (i.e. evidence open to criticism from other academics) on evolution published each week by far dwarfs the number on any other origin theory (intelligent design etc) ever published.

Basically, the world we live in provides us with evidence as to how it came to be this way. The evolution theory is established scientific fact - it is generally accepted among those who study the world we live in that humans evolved from animals. We have found fossils that document the changing human form, from ape to man. Evolution is a continuing process - it did not simply happen and then stop. Humans are still adapting to their changing environment - we are much taller now than we were only a few centuries ago.

If you do not believe in God, it is stupid to believe the Bible. They believe in evolution because they have chosen to not accept that God has created us, and they are intelligent, rational human beings so they have come up with the most reasonable alternative possible. Nonbelievers believe in evolution because intelligence demands them believe that there is some cause. It is a sign of intelligence, not stupidity, to take the best choice that you can find.

Because with the study of genetics and life form mutations ,it is the only thing that makes sense .
The scientists have also done experiments that back up this theory.
Did you know that right NOW there are New lifeforms are developing by volcanic undersea openings .
These new forms of life THRIVE in water ABOVE the boiling point .
If that ISN`t evolution I don`t know what is .
These lifeforms are probably our replacements after we destroy the Earth with GLOBAL WARMING.

Fossils. Evidence.
I can SEE fossils and I can rationalize the evidence presented for evolution.
There is NO evidence or rational to creation theory. Sorry, but there isn't. The bible is not proof any more than a copy of Lord of the Rings is proof that Hobbits really exist in the magical land of Middle Earth.

There is just so much evidence behind evolution.
For decades people have been gathering fossils and researching DNA and all paths seem to lead to evolution.
A lot of people believe in evolution because there is hard evidence to back it up, as opposed to religion, where there is no hard evidence to prove the existence of GOD. It's just blind faith and a lot of people need to see things to believe them.

I believe whatever has been proven to my satisfaction. So not all of the theory of evolution convinces me but a lot of it does. And then there are some things from the Bible that make sense to me but not all of it.

The evidence is absolutely overwhelming if you open your eyes and ears. Evolution is a fact. It's happening right now. And I am an atheist. So there is a connection.

It might be the only sensible answer. There is evidence. You say there is none and ask about it's reliability. But you quote a very old book and follow it religiously, so what do you know?
