Plain and simple it says this: "Learn to be content with what you have instead of always chasing more things to make you happy."

Humans are a selfish breed. We tend to think that "more is better" is every area we encounter.More cars, more houses, more telephones, more computers, more education, moor vacation, more pay, more friends (of the right sort), more 'toys', etc. and we think this will also make us happier. However, it is a false promise.I have discovered for my own life, that 'less is more' simply because there is less to lose. No one will burglurise a slum. I possess nothing of much value to anyone else, therefore, there will be few who will want to take it away from me. We have all read of the 'poor little rich boy' (or girl) who has everthing you could desire financially, and remains lonely and short of friends. True freedom from anxiety can be received by desiring nothing more than you need. (reduce you desire list).

Spending money and buying more things will not make us happy. To be happy we need to have a more realistic view of what we need in life and to realize that happiness cannot be bought. So if we wish for fewer things and less stuff, it is much more likely that we can be happy.

You will not find hapiness in material objects, the less you want material things the more you will learn to find hapiness in other areas.

Instead of trying to have more, and more, and more....try wanting less, and less, and less. That way you will most certainly get what you want - less, and in so doing - theoretically be happy.

basically, you will be happier if you dont gain material things,,, and want less
ps: i personally dont believe it, while only striving for the material is not good,,,,, material things in and of themselves can bring happiness, and also fulfilling our desires can,,,,,,,

It means that you will be happy if you are content with what you already have.
