How could it not?

Even for those who espouse the idea that all we need is "faith" it must be realized that we are in fact OBEYING the Word of God when we put our faith in Him. We might even be able to say that the two ideas, obedience and faith, are the same thing. To have faith is to submit to God and follow Him, and vice versa.

Jesus Christ said this in the book of John 14:6," I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

John 10:9 I am the door, by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and go in and go out, and shall find pasture.

Acts 2:21 And it shall be, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 4:12 And in none other is there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved.

Only by coming to Jesus Christ and confessing to him that you are a sinner, and asking for forgiveness of your sins, and asking him to come into your heart can you be saved.

We are to do our best to be obedience to God. But we can't do good works to save ourself. If you fall, get back up and go forward. 1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

P.S. Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me". Just what do you think Jesus is saying here? He is knocking on what? He wants to come into what?

You had better understand that this is not just some parable. Jesus Christ is asking to come into you, call it your heart, your soul, your spirit, but the truth is you have to invite him in. John14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. John 17:23 " I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one" 26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them".

So whoever says you don't have to have Jesus Christ inside you, is very wrong!

It takes faith in the Word of God. If you believe X then you obey X. I believe gravity, I live accordingly. It is the faith that saves.

It is written:
1. 'Anyone who adds or subract to what was written shall not see life'
2. Jesus said:' You search the Scriptures for you think there is life in them, and you are correct'.
3. Anyone who hears my voice but not obey them is like one who built his house on a sand, the wind came and it came thumbling down; but anyone who hears my voice and obey them is like one who builds his house on stone, the wind and water came but it w/stood them all.
4. Do not go beyond what is written, that you may not be condemned.

So, based on the above, the answer to your question is yes!

It takes obedience to prove one is saved, but not to be saved.

We are saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.
