I bought my bf a 24" flat screen Toshiba television. It's a combo with VCR and DVD....is 24" big enough? It's for his bedroom but it's quite big. I hope it's big enough!

Size matters...but I'm sure you already know that.
;-)
But seriously, the questions I have for you is this:
1. is it a flat panel TV?
2. is it HD and digital-ready?
3. how far will the TV be from the bed?

In about two years, all TV's will need to be able to receive digital cable.
The old rabbit ears to tune in local television stations will no longer work.

High definition television is where its at.

And the average distance between TV and the viewer for best viewing is usually measured this way: the width of the TV times four.
Meaning, the 24" screen times 4 equals eight feet.

He should just be happy that you thought enough about him to give him something like a TV
