Three suggestions: I have a recipe that is easy and very popular. Salad: Cooked and cold tortellini salad, can of diced seasoned tomatoes (like garlic and onion), and mozzarella cheese cut into cubes. Toss with a basil dressing (Cardini's pasta dressing if you can find it) Second suggestion: Cooked and cold broccoli, green grapes and almonds tossed in a dressing mix of mayonaisse( 1 cup) and sugar (about 1/2 cup) Roasted veggies. Hope this helps

The chicken wings would go good in the crock pot, just cook them crisp and put it on low. That crock pot can get had to clean with the chicken wings...Have a great potluck.....I would have taken a green side with small side additions--tomatoes,green onions, olives, cheese, and cucumber slices. Then just add a bottle of ranch dressing.

All fruits are fresh vegetables. A "vegetable" is a plant, any part of which can be used for food.

In the superstore, fruits are usually selected much too soon. Some are rocks, many are bitter. Some of the fruit and vegetables are typical right (zucchini, onions, garlic, lettuce, greens, and a few others) so I'd have to go with vegetables.

Everyone brings either fatty meats, mayo-dressed starch-based salads, or casseroles to these things... Try something different, and bring a nice "ensalada caprese":
Slice roma (plum) tomatoes, fresh mozzarella (usually packed in water) and fresh basil leaves, and arrange on a platter. A good serving size is about 1 tomato, an ounce of cheese and 1-2 leaves of basil. Just before serving, sprinkle liberally with good extra-virgin olive oil, a little sea salt, and black pepper. If you want to, you can infuse the olive oil with garlic by heating the oil over low heat for about 5-10 minutes with some coarsely chopped fresh garlic (3-4 cloves to a 1/2 c of oil).
I bring tons of this to every pot-luck, and it's the first dish to be emptied.

The simpliest thing is Little Smokies (Hillshire farms) or cut up Kelbasa sausages in BBQ sauce.
Simple... and always popular.
It doesn't even really need to cook... you can heat it up in the microwave and let the crock pot keep it warm, set on low.
