is it safe to use a color corrector?

Not at home it isn't! Yikes! Don't even attempt that. Go to a professional. There is nothing worse than messing up your hair right before Christmas and having to wait 2 years before you get your normal hair back. I can't stress enough that when you mess with chemicals you are messing with trouble. You fry your hair and you will be kicking yourself for a couple of years. You can't get your hair back once you have destroyed it with chemicals. It doesn't take much for color corrector to ruin your hair.

i'm a hairdresser and there is not any such element as a "colour corrector" they're spoke of as toners and that they only fairly artwork on lighter hair. Examples are - making blondes much less brassy and making browns much less reddy. in case you have dyed your hair dark then it will desire bleaching to get it returned to a mild colour. do no longer forget, in case you have bleached your hair until now it will be weaker and bits could snap/fall out.

It depends on the condition of your hair, do you have bleached or permed hair? If so be careful, otherwise it's usually safe to color and then recolor. I try to wait at least a week though.
