Isaiah 43:10 “But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord.
“You are my servant.
You have been chosen to know me, believe in me,
and understand that I alone am God.
There is no other God—
there never has been, and there never will be.
11 I, yes I, am the Lord,
and there is no other Savior.
12 First I predicted your rescue,
then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world.
No foreign god has ever done this.
You are witnesses that I am the only God,”
says the Lord.

Yes, the living God is the only God! :o)

If you look at the hebrew, the word "besides" is a negation, not a preposition meaning next to. So it means without him there is no salvation.

Although this makes me wonder how accurate that is:

Ezekiel 18:27
When the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness ... and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul

In the preceding verses, Jehovah was comparing himself to the gods of the nations that were looked up to for salvation. Jehovah declared at verse 11 that, in reality, he was the only Savior. The other gods were nothing.

God was saying that without Him, you can not be saved. Keep in mind that Jesus was with the Father until he was born of Mary.

Joh 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Before Jesus came along, the only way to salvation was through God Himself.
