I mean no disrespect, but I was wondering if all arabs/muslims agree with the arabs in the israeli-arab conflict? Or is it accepted and somewhat common for arabs/muslims to agree with israel?

I ask because a coworker, myself, and a muslim coworker were talking, and we raised the idea that "land-for-peace never works". The muslim coworker was rather offended (we didn't say it in an antagonizing manner either). I was a little surprised, since I really felt that my coworker who raised the idea really explained his point very clearly and convincingly. anyways, that got me wondering...

thanks for your help in advance

I'm Muslim and i have nothing against the Jews, but I'm 100% against the Zionist state of Israel. before Israel was declared the Jews, Christians and Muslims lived together all over the middle east in peace. it wasn't until the migration of the European Jews (Zionists) who came from all over Europe and settled in Palestine which has been a British colony since the first world war. when the Jews of Europe moved to Palestine they started their terrorist operations against the Native inhabitants of the Land and specifically the Muslims and Christians. they burned their houses, killed many and drove the rest out of their homes into the deserts. in 1948, the state of Israel was declared by the UN and the land was divided into two states, with the Jewish area consisting of roughly 55% of the land, and the Arab area roughly 45%. Jerusalem was planned to be an international region administered by the UN to avoid conflict over its status.

the Arabs knew that this is done by the British super power to put the Arabs in their place plus they felt that the land is being officially stolen therefore the 1948 war started which resulted in the defeat of the Arabs and Israel gained an additional 26% of the Mandate territory west of the Jordan River. Jordan, for its part, held the large mountainous areas of Judea and Samaria, which became known as the West Bank. Egypt took control of a small strip of land along the coast, which became known as the Gaza Strip.
Estimates of the final refugee count range from 400,000 to 900,000 with the official United Nations count at 711,000.The continuing conflict between Israel and the Arab world resulted in a lasting displacement that persists to this day.
Immigration of Holocaust survivors and Jewish refugees from Arab lands doubled Israel's population within a year of independence. Over the following years approximately 850,000 Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews fled or were expelled from surrounding Arab countries and Iran. Of these, about 600,000 settled in Israel; the remainder went to Europe and the Americas.

for those atrocities that happened in the past and still happening until now. I feel my rejection of the state of Israel is justified. and i understand how the Arabs feel.
but to be practical and look for peaceful solutions i came to agree that if Israel pulls out of ALL the occupied territories (1967 borders) i think there might be a chance for co-existence between Arabs and Jews. after all we do worship one God and from the same origin.

peace!

I am not Arab, Muslim, or Israeli, but I have known quite of few people of these ethnicities. I've never never met an Arab or a Muslim who sympathized with Israel, and I've never met an Israeli who sympathized with the Arabs/Muslims. It might be a stereotype, but it's validated by my experience.

I think it has a lot to do with the religious reasons. In the muslim religion, it is actually a crime against God for Jerusalem to be owned by the Israelis. They are not just fighting for land; they are fighting for God. At least, that's my understanding of it.

Yes most Muslims/Arabs agree with Hezbollah on the Israel conflict. By the way I'm Muslim myself and agree with Hezbollah.

First permit me clarify your 0.33 paragraph, the place you assert Jews have been expelled from Spain/Portugal. certainly Jews have been Expelled from France/Italy and all Europe. no longer purely Spain/Portugal. 2d. it is not common whilst each and every physique is moved out from a land they have lived and wide-unfold as their very own very nearly all their existence, we could continuously understand that. it particularly is a tragic actuality that the Arab countries refuse to permit the Palestinians into their lands. yet i do no longer blame the Palestinians, nor do I dislike them. Infact I sympathize with what they went by. by sympathizing and exhibiting them we are no longer undesirable, consistent with hazard sometime there will be peace.

You need a Chat room all to yourself to dictate to others what you want and don't want. You will make a Good Fanatic Muslim who will kill others for not obeying your wishes.
If you need to discourse with 'NORMAL' people, you need to go live in an asylum where folks are drugged into normality. You are a very stupid man.

It's not just the muslims' fault. It's religion in general.

Allah or Jesus?
By Rick Mathes
Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths who explained their belief systems. I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.
The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn I directed my question to the Imam and asked: Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"
There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation he replied, "Non-believers!"
I responded, So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to heaven. Is that correct? The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, Yes.
I then stated, Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Pat Robertson or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to heaven! The Imam was speechless.
I continued, I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question-would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and wants you to be with me? You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Chuck Colson once told me something that has sustained me these 20 years of prison ministry. He said to me, Rick, remember that the truth will prevail. And it will!
