The most inexpensive way is to buy a wick and a glass container that you want you candle to go in, go home and get all of you older candles together (the ones that you have to burn your finger to light) get a butter knife and get all the wax out and put it in a pot and warm it until it turns to liquid then pour it into the container, while it is still liquid hold the wick in it till it gets firm, do this with all of the old candles you can find but melt different colors seperatly and pour them in layers. then at the end you have an awsome candle that will last for a long time depending on how big you made it!

This summer take a trip to Minneapolis and go out to Fort Snelling. They show how to do things as the pioneers did them. You should be able to learn on line too. Basically You just get wax and string and keep dipping them until they are the way you like them. I think they have molds now too.
