Haha, this is a great question! I too, although am a woman, wonder the same thing about other women. I see those questions and assume they are asked by young and inexperienced women.
As time goes by, they will learn about life and relationships - as we all do. Hopefully before they end up in a marriage they didn't really want to be in, and before they have children with that person - or else they will spiral into a depression and bitterness that sometimes has no end....um, that part about the marriage/children is not personal experience, but of some of my close female friends/family.
I think it is very common for women to develop interest in someone simply because they show interest in her. I think is takes maturity and self esteem to reach a point at which a person chooses another for other reasons - or more guenuine reasons.. such as the fact/idea that THEY actually like them.
The problem with relationships before that maturity point is that those "oh, he said he likes me" attractions fizzle quickly - or worse, after many years, because the realization sets in that they did not choose that person for any other substantial reasons... mutual interests, similar life philosophies, etc, etc...

I would concur with you there. Although unfortunately it doesn't happen with all girls. I am shy but I've never been able to achieve what I long for which is to be with this girl I've loved dearly for years. I can't really talk to her :-(
However, I think you are right. Partly. The point is that those questions are only asked by those sorts of girls... You can't get a balanced sample; I guess you'd need to ask your girlfriend!

I think girls get curious once they think there might be an attraction from the guy ~ it is the curiosity -hmmm........wow! he is talking to me-I wonder if he thinks I'm cute and does he like me. Even if he might just be being nice - and the same goes with guys asking that Q also.

I dunno...I'm a shy chick myself, so shy guys don't hold much appeal (you put two shy people together and you get a lot of quiet).

I'm of the "if you have to ask, he probably doesn't" belief.
But you'd be suprised what some women will read into absolutely nothing.

This question will have as many answers as there are women in the world. Each woman wants something different, and each man, in turn, is different. You cant please everyone, so please yourself and find the one who loves you for you =)
