Or believes that the World of Warcraft is of Satan?
I know this sounds silly- but I am totally serious. I see this game taking people away from real life- from family- from spouses- and it ruins marriages- I definately believe it is a tool of Satan- Someone once told me that "Satan will do anything to get a couple into bed before they are married and he will do anything to keep them out of bed once they are married"

-This is true, he is sneaky and crafty. We should always be aware of his schemes. I really wish World of Warcraft would vanish! It is the addiction that is the problem- I cannot believe how many people are addicted to this game and play it ALL DAY. They avoid everyone else in their lives. It's sad isnt it?

I did not add that it is the addiction that is wrong- and who I am speaking of IS a big part of my life so it is wrong- I am amazed at how many christians answered this question with "no, and stop being self righteous" --how is this being self righteous? I call it having spiritual discernment- Satan DOES use many things, such as tv, computers, games- etc and many are blind to it. That is why when I am on here, I like to share the truth of God with others...not get trapped into some worldly game that has people casting spells and using magic- The Bible does speak of this as being wrong- those who practice it, which I know warcraft is just a game- but still you are messing around with fictional characters that do these things in the game- I just dont get it. I really believe Satan has blinded so many and is keeping them where he wants them-

I have never heard of this game.

I do believe that satan is alive and on the prowl and will use whatever weakness we show to try to steal us from God. If any of us allow addiction to rule our lives, such as I tend to do with my computer, we are looking for trouble.

I dont believe so.. is something morally wrong with WoW? (maybe idk)
It isnt really THAT sad unless the person is completely consumed by it. Completely as in.. doesnt go to work school take care of life. Avoiding people who are in your life can be kinda nice sometimes.. especially ones who dont understand you or your interests.

watching tv.. surfing the internet.. shopping for "junk" is all pointless except to you at that moment. It is a game, its entertainment, and its a social realm. It is addictive, but its not the games fault, its the person.
Many games warn of possible addiction, doesnt sound too much like satans work :)

its too toonish for my taste, i dont see whats so great about WoW .. Let them use their time on what they want, dont let it affect you, if it does change your situation!

You're kidding, right? So a company made a good (obviously) video game. Obviously these alleged people whose lives are being "ruined" via games had deeper problems before they bought the game and started playing. Hey - if they play the game and put it above all else - who has to live with the consequences of that? You? Me? Or Them? It's not you or me.

Let people take responsibility for their own screw ups in this world and worry about being responsible for yourself. There are far more important things to worry about in life rather than a video game and it's impact on a few people.

There are many addictions. Gaming, sex, alcohol, nicotine, drugs, gambling, food, shopping just to name a few. People become addicted to these things either because there are chemicals in them that make them addicted (nicotine) or because they are lonely (sex) or because they are bored (gaming). This is the way people often are, and its the way they've always been. Addiction doesn't require that a Satan be involved, all it requires is that there is a need to be filled, and most human beings share various levels of weakness to their various needs.

If you continue to think that there is something supernatural involved, you will NOT understand or be able to address or solve the problem.

I play World of Warcraft...and so does my wife. We actually have a guild we created. Moving back in scope just a little bit from World of Warcraft to MMORPGs in general...that's how my wife and I met. We were both playing Everquest 2 and happened to be in the same guild. She lived in Pittsburgh, PA and I lived in San Diego, CA. Both of us are Christians. We met in game, then through phone and webcam. Then I visitted her, several times and she visitted me. I asked her to marry me and she did. December 3 is our 1-year anniversary, and we have 2-month old twins. We play World of Warcraft as a hobby that we have in common, so it actually brings us closer together. As far as I'm concerned, it has been a tool that may have been used by God to bring us together. Now please get off your self-righteous "it is fantasy so it is evil" kick and start sharing God's love with people.

Last thing...to some, this is their social life. They play a certain character, but they meet other people online, make friends, and have a good time with a hobby they all enjoy.

Sweety - It's just a game, no more. It takes no more people away from real life than any game, the computer, television, sports, or any of the many mind and body consuming activities humans involve themselves in, including excessive religion. Stop looking for Satan and spread the love of Jesus instead. GBU

I know your question is a couple of hours old but I still want to respond.

I think games of any kind that a family can not play together, or, Mom and Dad would play but the kids shouldn't, should not be played at all.

I don't know this game you talk about and I see commercials for other games that I have to 'wince' at every time I see them with a rating that allows children to purchase them.

I know this is going to get me a 'thumbs down' but I think those that make these games have gone too far with them.

Morphine is used in many medical settings to help patients cope with severe and excruciating pain.

Some people take morphine when they don't need it, against their doctor's orders, and become addicts, and ruin their lives, losing their jobs, losing their families, etc.

Is morphine then 'a tool of Satan'? Or is the inappropriate use of it ... inappropriate?

THINGS are not good or evil. A gun doesn't choose to pull itself out, load itself with a few coconspiritorial bullets, and plug a few kids at the local high school -- a person makes a choice to pull the gun out, load it with bullets, and shoot people. However, that same gun can be used to defend my family against an intruder in our house that intends to kill us, just as much as it can force the guy at the local 7-11 to hand over all his cash.

Is the gun evil? Or is it the person who uses it in a way that is not of good moral direction that is evil in that action?

Satan is the prince of the power of the air (Eph.2:2 below). Satan is the “god” (2 Cor.4:4 below) of this present evil world (Gal.1:4 below).

2 Cor.4:4 In whom the god of this world (Satan) hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Gal.1:4 (Jesus) Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Eph.2:2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air (Satan), the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Why would satan want people in bed before but not after marriage? What's the deal with that? Why can't something just be wrong without satan being involved? Wake up!!
